Some very new Androids have removed the menu button on the phone.

All androids used to have a return button, a home button and a menu button. Google is looking to imitate apple and move away from buttons physically on the phone in favour of encouraging developers to have on screen buttons. In the menu buttons case this would consist of an action bar at the top of the screen. I've not programmed this in as I developed this using an older API but apparently android will adapt to this and create an action bar for my App.

I can kinda see why they'd do this as in the case of my "track/untrack", "load" "moveButton", and "notes" options many users don't even realize they exist as their not mapped on screen.

Won £100 and the award for best project at my University :)
Graduated with a first thanks to this project.
Entered it into a national competition for best app.

Tbh was probably going to neglect the app in favour of playing poker fulltime once more but defo need to give it some more love now. Also tempted to get it on to iphone and sell it before the other HUDs catch up to my one.

Nice one, well done. Although haven't you heard the news, you would have been better off with a 2:1 ;)

What do use think of me replacing the tapping input with gestures?
Atm I have:

1Tap = call
2Tap = raise
3Tap = cancel
LongPress = Sit-in or Menu -> Sitout/Notes/Track/Untrack/Load/

I would change it to:

Swipe Left = Call
Swipe Right = Raise
Swipe Up = Info - A screen with notes, tracking and space for any additional stats
LongPress = Sitout/Sitin

No matter what I decide to do I will likely replace the contextMenu that pops up when holding down on a player with a dedicated info screen. Whether to change the tap/double tap to swipes is the trickier decision. What use think?

The Iphone version of this app is fully functional other than the player options menu and its features which I'll pretty much have to do from scratch.

The main thing I disliked about the android version was how holding down the players seat to access the options was not at all obvious to the user and they pretty much had to know before hand that they could do this.

Any idea on how I should implement the menu this time round?
Instead of a pop-up menu what do uze think of having a whole screen dedicated to a specific player where you can create notes, add tags, and I could even throw some more advanced stats in?
How can we go about accessing this screen in a user friendly obvious way?

I'll release a beta for the IPhone version soon.

is this actually able to be used for 888 poker mobile app or pokerstars????

It's intended to be a live HUD. For use in live games. While you could probably use it for online games as well, I'd imagine the action would be too fast for it to be useful, and you'd be better served by a regular tracker/HUD.

Works great, I can't play without it now. But as the developer I'm not the best source to ask. There are 58 people activly using this month some of which will have posted itt.

The IOS version I am developing atm should have more stats, more features and a graphics upgrade. Just been horribly slow making it as I've been trying to make supernova this year, I may need to hire a graphic designer as I suck at gimp/photoshop and the menu screen I'm building to house any additional features is proving a pain to build.

Ye this thread is for the beta, the current version is pretty much running perfectly but there are a few more things I want to add.
I'm adding a guide within the ios version and the next android update.

Long press an empty seat to place a table in a seat.
Long press a full table to create notes, sitout, save or load a player.
Click once to call, twice to raise.

Should I hire a graphic designer? Are the graphics good enough as they are now or could this look better? I'll also be adding an instructions screen and a menu screen where notes, saving and loading, additional stats and at some point adding your own custom stats will be managed.

I'll release the beta version for the IPhone version of this within the next two weeks.
