Howdy and What's Up with PurePlay?

Hi all! 4 King Idiot here (say it fast! LOL!)
I am a longtime holdem player on PurePlay. I live in Los Angeles and I sometimes play live at the Hustler too. I've been at it a few years, I used to play at pokerstars and FullTilt.
Anyway, PurePlay seems to be down. Does anyone know what's
up with them? Have they gone bankrupt? Their site said it was down for maintenance earlier this week and now it's not even available.
I may need to find a new online outlet. Any suggestions?

Pureplay Poker

I have not been able to log on also. I have gotten messages from other player with same issue. I also sent PP Poker 2 emails with no response. I'm surprised because I have won & been paid for several tourneys I won. But, yea I think they are gone.

I haven't been able to get in for a few days either, I do play there, because it is one of the legal sites to play for free. No where else can a person win a Main Event seat for free - but i guess that is no longer the case if they have shut down. I wonder what happens to the supposed seats that have been given away since July '18.

At least I had no money on account here before they closed up shop, unlike the 5 other sites that have closed without paying me. I have been screwed out of ~$1700 in winnings at sites that have closed without paying first, though i do appreciate that i did retrieve my winnings from Full Tilt after a few years of waiting. This probably isn't much compared to others, but it seems like a lot of money, and makes me nervous depositing to ANY site out there.

Card Player Poker is another free site where you can win cash and they just gave away a Main Event Seat this past weekend. They have ALWAYS paid me my winnings. First time I won some cash there was 2011, and I pulled some out yesterday as well.. There is a VIP level as well that requires a monthly fee, but that is not required to play on the site. This is illegal for me in my state so I don't do the VIP thing.

This is also known as NLOP and also now Cafrino. But I originally got a link from the Card Player magazine web page.

Give them a try. They have some sort of referral program, that I have never used, but I could send you a link if you want.

Has Pure Play Poker been shut down - Thanks for replies

Thank you all for your replies. I
was a paying member and now have had to cancel my credit card so they can't deduct any fees.

Thing is, it is not till you cancel the credit card that you realise some important stuff is on auto payment so now have to go through and spend a lot of time to re-do all my auto payments.

Pain in the proverbial. Disappointed Pure Play are gone and frustrated that they didn't notify any members. They just left thier 8 million members in the dark.

Not good business to abandon the clientelle.

Shame on you Pure Play, Betzip or whatever you are called now.:help::secruity::secruity::secruity::secruity::secruity::secruity:

Give yourselves an uppercut!!!!!!!

PurePlay Poker

Does anyone have any info on Pure Play Poker site? The site has been shut down for over a week.

It seems the Login portal is still up but not much more info on the web.

Looks like you can only contact them via their WebChat interface on this link CLICK HERE Or Via email to this link support@pureplay.com

Not that you wouldn't of already checked this but I wish you Luck.

If I can find any thing else I'll be sure to post here for any one else also looking.

;)

Hey, 4KingIdiot,
I recognize your handle, I have also been a steady player on Pureplay (player name is "Chinchilladas". Maybe you recall playing with me, maybe not). I have had zero complaints other than the site being shutdown now. I am not sure why. I only know what you all have already stated. Are there any other sites akin to Pureplay, where you can earn your way into bigger tourneys?

I sure miss Pureplay!

8 million members? Huh:confused:

My first clue about Pure Play... pretty sure that was one of the options that Lock Poker had for it's 'members'... you could take your roll to PurePlay. (pretty sure that was it). I didn't bother.

pureplay responded to my e-mail inquiry about their website and the money they owe me without answering anything.

"We hope you resolved the issue successfully, but, if this isn't the case, simply reply to this email within the next few days and your ticket will reopen again automatically."

I am amazed that people in this thread are still asking the same question but none have responded to Debi's post or made a comment about info found in any of the links she posted.

You're a wise man Bungitin, if Lock Poker had suggested them, then that would have been enough for me to not have played at PurePlay like you.

With 8 Million subscribers you'd think they would be able to make money. :hmmmm:

:reddy:

The haters can hate but I thought Pure Play was ok.
A bit of a shame they are gone but not contacting members to explain is pretty shabby. They owe me about $120 which I will probably never see but I guess thats life.
Could have been legal issues with local authorities or worse, an embezzler, dunno!!!!
Who knows what happened, Anyone????

Yeah. From what I've seen from posts on CC, other forums, and heard from players - you shouldn't be playing there at all. They often refuse to cancel memberships, charge you excess money and don't let you refund it (unless you go through your bank), will screw you around and take weeks to pay you, and then have the audacity to tell you that it was somehow your fault all along. Take the hint they're giving you now and move to somewhere more reputable.

I hadn't heard that Lock moved your money anywhere. I had $1500 there and could NEVER get paid. It was all from parlaying some freeroll winnings, so i never deposited, but still very disappointing.
