If only they didn't rake a billion out of every pot, they literally make the 1/2 and 2/5 games unbeatable. It had both a time charge ($25/hr I think) as well as standard rake (10% up to $5 or something?). 2/5 is borderline at that rate and 1/2 I think is super unbeatable. The weird thing was that at 5/10+ (5/10 played as 5/10/20 90% of the time) they took only a time charge and still $25 with no rake. So they were taking less money in terms of dollars out of the higher stakes games than the lower ones.

Well, when i was grinding 2/3 there a year ago, the time charge was $5/hr and rake was capped at $8 per hand. Not sure what it is now.

There really isn't a lot of money in poker for casinos. The rake barely pays the dealers. Add the fact that most folks go to Vegas to pull handles, and play Black Jack. Video poker is prolly gonna catch on in Vegas.

I agree. The best poker, with the most variety is in the LA area. For so many casinos, to have so many poker tables, says something about the mindset around here.

Holdem, Limit, Omaha, Omaha8, Stud, Stud8, 5card Omaha...'et al' can be found and played on a daily basis.

I have yet to play at a casino because I am only 20. Has anyone been to any casinos around the Florida area? Or Minnesota area?

Which poker room you prefer and why?

I am playing a lot online poker and i have my favourite poker rooms, but i want to ask you which you prefer and most important WHY you like and play at your poker rooms? Thanks in advance i will be glad to hear as many as possible opinions on this tread, For myself i like to play at full tilt poker and black chip poker, used to play at intertops a lot but closed my account these days, because they are too slow with the withdrawals. :icon_blac

Funny to say - I prefer PokerStars only because of the design theme.

I want to play online poker and I prefer fulltiltpoker , tournaments mostly. Pokerstars is too busy and if someone hit Ace in hand goes all-in .

Love pokerstar but been playing more at 888 found it to be softer than stars and loving it, fulltilt is ok too but it such a shame that they don't have a decent App for it , only rush poker app.

PS.com for the most traffic and the chance to play also uncomen games like Horse or Stud
FTP cause I still stick to it after Black Friday . Its the best software for me.
PKR cause its 3D images are fun . And the playerpool is very fishy

I think Full Tilt Poker is the best side, because there you get interesting satellites and very good tournements. I Play there more often than at poker stars.

I live in the US and thus can no longer play at my favorite site, Pokerstars. But why I came to this thread is to see if anyone can report likes or dislikes with 'Full Flush Poker'. Cardschat seems to give the site a favorable rating, but still, I'd like hearing from those who play there.

Well I downloaded it and in a little more than 1/2 hour I'll test it in a $50 freeroll. Iwatched a table at play for a short while. The program seems a tad on the cheap side, but gotta expect that from a brand new site, and no apparent glitches. I'll give my 2 cents later.

I like BetOnline only because they actually pay me my winnings. I was always a Full Tilt fan when I could play it. I didnt like the software at Pokerstars even though they have all the traffic.

Full Flush Poker has to exact feel of BetOnline Poker. I'm not certain they each share the same player pool but wouldn't be at all shocked if that were the case. With me it takes a while to get used to the program as far as comfort playing there. I shouldn't let comfort rule my play but it is a factor. Can't help that, I'm just a big fan of smooth graphics and Full Flush, like BetOnline, may take some getting used to.

I played other sites before but I like 2 poker sites namely- pokerstars and fulltilt.
Reasons:
1. You can transfer back and forth your money. No minimum amount as well.
2. Many players and many variants of poker to select with.
3. Less waiting for the table to get full.

Pokerstars for sure. Why? Number of players, your money are safe there, many tournaments and you dont have to wait longer time for SNGs. I also like fulltilt, but they dont have DoNs :/

I have asked them if they are related and they told me that they are not. The player pools are not the same however the software is almost identical.

pokerstars then full tilt poker. the amount of players in stars is huge and you can find lots of differents tourneys starting with 0.02 buy in. in ftp the traffic is pretty low, considering that before the black friday more than 100.000 players were playing on this site, and im sure that half of them were not americans. now in some hours there are less than 10.000 players which is pretty low considering pokerstars bought ftp a year ago.
