Got put on new system this morning.
This how you earn reward points
Poker: Players earn 100 reward points for every USD $1 in rake or tournament fees paid (130 reward points for every £1, 80 points for every CAD $1, and 110 points for every €1).
Players do not earn reward points at pot-limit and no-limit tables with blinds of $5/$10 or higher, 8-game tables with stakes of $20-$40 or higher, or other limit games with stakes of $20-$40 or higher.
Reward point requirements depend on the Chest type you are playing towards, but are also personalised based on your profile. Some of the factors which impact points requirements are recent activity, game-type and net deposits. You also receive some reward points every time you open a Chest, plus receive boosts which double how fast you earn reward points for a specific number of points.
If you’re winning one Chest per session or fewer (i.e. if your last three Chests of the same type were each won on different days) we’ll make sure the points targets for your progress bars remain achievable so you won’t miss out on regular rewards - and the chance of winning a big reward!
There is no cap on how many Chests you can win each day.

You get star coins for you previous progression bar status at time of change how much if it is 100% pro rated or 50% pro rated (like the end of month) I do not know.

Does anybody know, if these level freerolls (Bronze, Chrome, Silver and so on) still exist after this funny update? Because the stars of a player not existing anymore..
I was playing a lot last month to receive heigher level, because I have time this month to play. Would be really annoying..

First thoughts on the new rewards system.
First of all, I was over halfway to get 625 starcoins from completing step 5 from the silverstar in previous VIP system. Didn't get anything from that now the new system came into effect.
Got 3 red chests until now giving me 7, 9 and 9 starcoins, so a total of 25 starcoins for an hour of play. Previously I was getting more than the double for that time. Now probably I'm just getting unlucky with the chests, but it doesn't make me attracted to the new system. Next chest that I'm working towards is again a red one...
I got a ticket for a 2.5k weekly freeroll (yay).
So I checked the freerolls from the new rewards system and was disappointed.
Every week a freeroll of 2.5k, and one from 10k, which you can play if you get lucky to get a ticket for them.
With the previous system I was allowed to play in the weekly 10k from the chromestar (without getting lucky).
In the monthly 20k from the chromestar, in the monthly 30k from the silverstar and I was going to make the goldstar this month, so the monthly 100k too, which used to have about 6000 players in it only. So a decent chance on making some cash.
Maybe there is a chance of winning much more when getting lucky, but I prefer a stable system in which you get more by a standard and you know what you can expect.

ouch level 5 is a big level i.e. more rewards. check your star coin history should have gotten some when change made

Waiting to see what this boost thing is will start my daily grind there about 4.5 hours time.

The boost is doubt points progress for the stated number of points. So if you have a boost on 100 points, each point you earn for the next hundred pounds will be doubled.
They are available periodically, once you finish one, it will give you a timer telling you when your next one is available.

Hello im only new here. So what do i know, but Im actually really quite excited about the new system. It changed over here in Australia six hours ago and im mega annoyed cos i went bust half a hour before it changed over. I say who cares about stars give me the cash. And unfortunatly i have to wait until my Mum wakes up this morning until i can go over and get my bank card back so i can reload. I had to lend her my bank card yesterday, i guess a few hours not gambling wont kill me...
