Lock still accepts US players and IMO is the best Revolution skin anyway.

Have you been reading all the problems over there? It is the best Revolution skin to avoid. If I had any kind of money on Lock I would be getting it off as fast as possible.

What is Juicy Stakes? Is it possible to play on it from USA?

Cake not being around sounds good to me because you can't withdraw less than $500 and it took like 5 months to get the check when I withdrew earlier this year. I'll miss raketherake rakeback on cake, but maybe that will transfer to my Juicy account.

Ironic that I played the most I ever played on cake last night - 3 private tourneys were going on all at once. Then today, I find that cake won't be around.

Meh, I disagree. And yes I subscribe to the Lock support forums on 2p2 and frequent them a lot. In fact that's about the only forum I post in over there (cuz CC is my tru luv!!!).

To be clear, no site/network available to US players comes close to the quality of PS or even FTP in its glory days. So by comparison all available options suck.

But given what options we have, I'll take Lock. I've been very happy with them. I've withdrawn a total of over 5 figures in the last, oh, 18 months. I just withdrew 4 figures via WU last month, had it in 3 weeks with fee refunded without asking, no worries, and now they've gotten back down under 2 weeks in most cases. Checks suck because they're now drawn on Canadian banks which cause some people problems and delays with their banks. Before that their US-drawn checks were prone to bouncing. Not Locks fault though -- even Stars & FTP had that problem, and it still happens frequently with Merge too. Picking US payment processors is like playing Russian roulette, the poker sites get scammed as often or moreso than the players.

Sure, lots of people have mixed experiences, many have legitimate gripes, but a lot of them are also idiots. Same thing on Merge networks. I would rate BCP the best Merge skin but it's not without its own issues too, and Merge itself has them all by the balls and is pretty questionable at times on its own.

So no, Lock is no Stars, but it's better than the Cake skin IMO. intertops was arguably one of the best Cake/Revo skins but hasn't been available to new US accounts for awhile and even then weren't without their own complaints if you look around. Some have reported Lock is better than Intertops and was leaning on Lock as the new owner of the network to force Cake and Intertops to adopt Lock methods. So YMMV.

^^ I agree with dmorris, I just withdrew from there no problems at all, took two months for the check but I expected that.
They also just added a bunch of support help so hopefully the kinks will be ironed out.

Meh, I disagree.

You can. I will repeat, and I rarely ever say things like this. Given the amount of different problems going on over there in just the last month or so, plus all the other widely reported problems (including lying about a deposit bonus and cheating a number of people out of money) and the representatives responses, I would not keep money on the site, period. This includes MANY PEOPLE having serious issues with Deposits and Withdrawals (going beyond normal USA stuff).

When ample evidence is shown repeatedly that there are problems, you are just asking for trouble if you keep your head buried in the sand.

Good Luck to you I hope no serious problems develop

Sounds like a mess having a poker site create an account for you on another site ffs another hit for USA (a free Country?)

Tried Cake, not a fan. I always wonder what the purpose of transitioning to another site is for companies like Cake. Why not just stick with US for cake? Why make everyone go to another skin/site?

Something to do with segregating as many US players together as possible I would guess, so if something goes wrong it does not effect the entire ROW player base.

Anybody know if requesting a cashout from Cake at this time is a bad idea? I just requested one, but am having second thoughts.

Should I just have let them move the $, then cashout?

I kinda have to agree with this after reading some things online. One never knows how an individual will be treated but if it doesn't sound good.......Not surprised that Cake, etc. are moving off US players. This will force some to the flagship Lock and segregate accounts for them. Nothing is getting better with poker online it seems but at least there are still SOME options. Bovada I've never had a problem with despite my dislike for anon tables now.

You might want to consider a trade option with someone such as on 2P2. You'll eat a percentage but you will get the other 75-80% at least without delay or much worry. Stick with trustworthy traders.

Dakota do you think they will honor affiliate players attached to Cake, Colt, moving to Juicy, or is this a way to save money from them?

I wouldn't think so, but these days....

Thought of that, but not a big poster there. Thought getting over $500 would be a problem.

So the real question is do it now or wait?

Only if you don't cash out.

I've not had any problems. And since they've been offering WU that's the only way to go IMO, pays in 2 weeks which for US player is as good as you're going to find anywhere, better than the vast majority.

But what do I know, I've only been playing at Lock almost exclusively for 18 months -- pre and post Revolution -- and have cashed out a half dozen times. If you follow the support threads of all the US facing skins, you find horror story after horror story on ALL of them. US cashouts are tedious at best on any site. Lock cashouts on Revolution have been better than Cake's by far. 5 months was the norm at Cake lately.

Support sucks? Yep
Cashouts slow? Yep
Any other US-facing site any better? Nope
