888's Blast Tournaments

If you win a 5$ tournament ticket in the daily 3.000$ “lucky blast” freeroll, then these tickets are actually valid in all 5$ tournaments on 888 poker. You can use the ticket to play BLAST, but you can also use it to play a regular tournament or a SnG. Last night I used a ticket to play a traditional 9 man SnG, and I finished in second place for a 12$ or so price. This is just a little pro tip for those, who are not completely turned on by these lottery type BLAST events

I do not like these Blast tournaments. In such tournaments, everything is decided by the luck of the player, and skills are not important.

Blast is a bit generic though. There is a massive difference between then $5 one, and the ones below. The $5 you get 3x the amount of time for the tournament actually making it playable. However the two minute ones are a joke, Don't know why the $1 ones can't be 6 minutes too so your just not punting off money.

You might as well just go play your buy-in in a online casino, it will be just about as much as a win rate as playing blast tournaments. I have won many blast tickets in the freerolls on 888 and I have never used them for a blast tournament. It seems like such a waste of 5 bucks to play in a blast tourney when you can just play in a regular SNG or a MTT for the said ticket. Blast is a horrible game and should never be played for anything but pure luck and gamble.

Yes I have had lots of success with my 5 dollar blast tickets, I have won about 6 over the past few months and have never used one for blast. I am a fairly good SNG player so I have played the 9 man SNGs, that is the best value for your ticket if you were to ask me. Playing the 9 handed SNGs I have manage to make roughly 73 dollars ( great value ) with the six tickets, I won 3 and came in 2nd for one. I play those blast freerolls just to get the ticket to use for a SNG, such a better win rate if you understand the SNG strategy ( tight is right ) play solid poker and you'll do fine. The payouts for such tournaments are 1st- $20.25 2nd- $12.15 3rd- $8.10, blinds increase every 4 minutes so you can actually play real poker and net some profit for your ticket. If you choose to do this good luck and see ya on the tables.

Play them for fun and when a potential jackpot is ready to strike. I play them (not that I like them or really want to) when the $1 or $5 jackpots have not been reached within 4-5 days. I played in a $1000 game once and numerous $25 games with tickets won during free rolls...many 10 cent blast tickets also have increased my bankroll. Unfortunately, PokerTracker does not track these games well.

More interesting is that during this 75 minutes time about 75 hands (even less) were dealt. If you can survive for these 75 minutes or 75 hands then surely you are in the money
About 13 levels you have to play. With starting chips 3000 you can survive up to level 6 (even you sit out). For remaining 7 levels you need to make your own way. When blind reaches 5000/10000(100), the game is over.

And late registration runs until 20 minutes after start . You can easily join then, blinds are still reasonable. Should you make it to payout, that means, earning a ticket value of 5 Dollars in less than an hour.

Absolute trash, 888 should get rid of such garbage in my opinion. Its not even poker, you play a few hands before you have to go all in and play for nothing but pure luck. Slot machines are funner and less tilting than these games, in slots at least you know your most likely to loose, in these stupid games it makes you think your actually playing poker to win. When in fact your not even playing poker at all, I would never recommend these games to anyone. Go to a casino online if your looking for that kind of game, your odds of winning are about the same, and slots may even be funner and less tilting than these stupid fake poker games. Its just a gimmick to promote gambling and a poor one at that. HORRIBLE game, should be taken off the site. I have won many blast tickets in the freerolls you play for them in and I have never and will never use the 5 dollar ticket for a blast game. Dummest game in poker in my opinion, sure you can win, but even slots pay out after a little bit of playing time. If you have 10 cent ticket in your account yet then talk to customer care to change it into 50 cent ticket. The customer care will change it.

It can still be used to play some satellites, so everything is good. I also dont really care enough about 10c or even 50c of free money to contact customer service over it

I personally don't really like the 888 blasts due to the time limit forcing you to go allin. I only ever play them when I have tickets to enter. I have made around 30-40usd in them using the tickets in the past, but feel like they are to much of a lottery to win consistently
