Wait for the casino thats coming to cincinnati soon.Live play is better anyway.

I believe it's opening in March. Can't wait, maybe I'll see you there. I'm hoping that will open Ky's eyes on gambling and the revenue it could generate for the state.

Any states other than New Jersey, Nevada, and California? Just wondering cause that's all I've heard about. I'm from ALabama and don't think it will happen in 10 years here.
Me and you both. That's why i'm wondering where all this is going. If it gets passed by a state inside the union, wouldn't a state have to draw up a law against it ex. Washington St. ?
I'm just confused on this whole matter basically.

Frankly, I'll happily pay tax on my winnings if the US would simply realize that it's 2013, we're all adults, and we ought to be able to play poker online if we want to.

sigh http://pokerfuse.com/news/law-and-regulation/nevada-online-gaming-bill-introduces-ten-year-bad-actor-lockout-14-02/
Nevada Assembly Bill 114 (AB114), referred to the Assembly Committee on Judiciary on Wednesday, seeks to restrict which operators would be part of the state’s interactive gaming program.

Among the proposed changes is a new clause that makes any gambling business that accepted US patrons after December 31, 2006 ineligible to receive a license for 10 years.

Such “bad actor” clauses would explicitly block companies and assets that continued to operate in the United States following the passage of UIGEA, which would include market leader PokerStars.

Another controversial aspect of the proposed legislation would double the license fees from $500,000 to $1,000,000 and the renewal fees from $250,000 to $500,000. The fee increases would require a two thirds majority vote to pass.

The bill also seeks to remove existing language requiring interactive gaming to be specifically authorized by federal law before the activity can take place in Nevada and give the Governor the ability to negotiate interstate compacts with other states; both of which were previously proposed in a bill introduced on behalf of the state Gaming Control Board late last year.

In addition, the bill proposes the addition of a member of academia to the Nevada Gaming Policy Committee, and allows the Governor to appoint a subcommittee on gaming education.

Bad Actor lockout clauses were present in proposed federal legislation. It was also initially present in the in New Jersey’s bill but later removed. PokerStars has positioned itself prominently in New Jersey, as its online gambling bill returns to the house and senate following requested modifications by the Governor.

If these states allow online gambling would they be open to ROW players? If so, what would happen with ROW and any tax laws that would be put in place.

Great to hear you at least will be able to play again with no worries about cashouts and any other hoops you guys had to jump through to play.

"The online poker law will legalize online gambling for the first time in Nevada, allow Nevadans to play online poker with players in other states, and potentially net Nevada millions of dollars in licensing and other fees.”

Does this mean other states have to okay poker or will Nevada allow people in other states to play online at their sites?

Either way it’s a start

Just my 2¢

There doesn't seem to be any law preventing residents of others states from playing other than the way the Nevada Law is written. There are a couple of states which have laws preventing it, but they are the well known troglodyte states.

Christie has stated that he sees no reason to not sign the bill, at the latest, the day after it lands on his desk. He also said that he will most likely sign it the same day "depending how his day is going". The bill goes through legislature again on Tuesday I think!!!!

Thanks for the recognition, I will. The past week there has been a deluge of articles but most all of them totally redundant.
