888Poker Announces New Poker Client

I will be looking forward to seeing what changes that will come to 888Poker. I started playing there about a month ago, and I must say that I still prefer pokerstars. Maybe the changes they are planning to implement will change my opinion.

They need to start with an overhaul of the iphone App its very weak compared too poker stars and partypoker.

It's high time 888 updated their client. Considering how outdated it looked it's no surprise that instead of updating existing client they made a new one from scratch. Hoping it'll be tested sufficiently so that poker players won't have to be testers free of charge.

My initial response should have been "I am afraid the update will screw up a CC FR for me" because it's been about ten minutes of nothingness. Trying to open 888 again gets me a message that it's updating.

Edit: That last 1% is a bitch. Shades of ACR "configuring"

I'm not a fan of their current software, so hopefully a positive move for 888Poker. I wish them all the best and hope it will be a success for them.

I get the following message when I try and log-in. "The client is currently being upgraded and will open once the process has finished".

Instead of renewing the software, they should renew the support team. They never solved a problem and when I explain the situation they are like robots, they repeat the same thing

Its good to hear they plan to upgrade their system and client,even tho I like the skin
and the lobby I found it easy to navigate actually compared the PP lets say or GGPoker.
I hope they keep the ability to trow stuff like tomatoes at people ,it would be more handy if you could edit the pre / post flop sizings .
And they they could look into the mobile version to , not being able to play more then one table at a time it sucks , I actually play a lot on mobile and would love at least 2 tables.
I hope, we don’t need to expect too many bugs at the first time, because it is often like this. I didn’t know, that they had such significant losses, I just hope they will stick around more then my last favorite poker room ( PKR) did cause I would be sad

First I expect more bugs that you have ever seen in your life with the new skin.

Second, yeah the revenues in the poker section are falling but the casino and betting sections are the cash cows. Poker is just there to lure you into the casino and sport betting sections.

I saw something in the 888Rep thread about this. I think you have to run it as admin and use compatibility mode or something.

I hope this means a more efficient use of space. The sidebar is too big. The whole "Euro widescreen" effect is just annoying. It covers tables on other sites which creates a situation where active tables don't pop up. I can't imagine multi-tabling 888 games. Each one would fill the screen. And less lags and crashes would be nice, but are sort of the opposite effect of "rolling out new stuff".

Not sure what you mean about the sizing problem?
Prior to 888poker limiting the number of cash tables you could play, I used to regularly multi-table 12-tables per 24in. monitor.

I do love to throw a bit of poop around though... hope they keep that.
