You saw what we all see. Bovada made the weird decision to make playing poker anonymous. We mostly thought they would fail, but they fooled us, and seem to be pretty healthy these days.

Make no mistake, they're healthy and growing despite anonymous table not because of them. Bovada is good at paying players promptly and right now that's more important than HUDs/Notes/Knowing when you're be colluded against.

I like that aspect but at the same time I think that you should atleast be able to take notes on players. I think its a good thing for online poker at this time. With the small amount of sites for U.S. players its hard to find a site that you can consistently play on and be profitable with out having people know your game due to hand histories.

Yeah, like football would be more of a skill game if NFL teams didn't get to watch game film on their opponents. Or chess would be more of a skill game if every move that a grand master has ever made wasn't known and searchable.

Always look for the place with a sportsbook and you'll be fine. bodog has lit tons of money on fire with advertising and sponsorships over the years and are still going strong thanks to most of their income not relying on their poker room at all, and the poker room even possibly being a loss leader to get people depositing on the site.

I actually agree with disabling the HUD it may help you online but it could dull your live game (maybe) Sitting at the table going ughhh I wish I had my HUD lol

If you don't have to pay full attention to your opponents thanks to the HUD online it may (again may) mess with your discipline to pay attention at the live table. Even if your discipline for paying attention is only slightly lowered your losing edge.

but I'm not sure. It would be interesting if some pros would do a study have some play live then have them play online half using HUD and half not using then have them play live again and see if there are any changes.(Significant)

Of course there are a lot of variables to consider so you would need a lot of people to do this study. You got to figure if 75% of people using HUD live game lowered its a big enough percentage that the results aren't from poker variance.

Comparing live to online as a reason for/against HUDs makes little sense. If we're playing live I have something better than a HUD, I have my sight and memory. I can remember how you have played if I've seen you before. I can see if you're drunk or maybe don't know what you're doing. There is just so much more info available live. I'd say that I can tell more about your play live more quickly than I ever could online even with a HUD.

More and more US players are thinkin: "why the hell should I make a deposit at all when I can't even withdraw my winnings?"
I'm betting a large portion of US poker players feel that way.
Play the freerolls, win some mad money and hope someday you'll be able to see it! Sound familiar?

Ye tbh its definitely sketchy anyway you look at it. I suppose ppl feel more comfy with Intertops because of how long they have been around. That said Intertops could switch networks maybe like BCP did instead of staying on Merge or moving to Revolution, they went to WP Network (WPN).

Also though, Itops w/d's are very fast by current standards, which creates at least some level consumer confidence.

The whole scene stinks until usa gets legislation, I'm making sure that all the elected officials in my purview know how important it is to me(us).

It will make it worse, One of the bills, if it makes it would fine overseas sites, for letting US players play there! And we would still not have PS or FTP to play at.

To have one skin look good over the others is just bad! Also remember, that intertops stopped with new accounts from US players!

I think they just don't care, or they are having a hard time trying to set it up.

I am not talking about sports teams watching tapes to get info about teams. We are talking about people tracking people to win money. Its easy to sit and watch a hud and tell how a person plays. Disabling it makes it more of a live game you actually have to pay attention. I agree that you can tell more about someone by their live play but being able to use a hud is ridiculous. Its almost like cheating.

I'm curious how they are paying ROW players in a month if they are busto?

Maybe their check processor is just beyond awful, or they keep getting ripped off?

I'm a ROW player and have been waiting since May 18th. I'm not very confident that I'll ever get paid. Cake used to do withdrawals inside of a week for me in 2012. Now I just get the same BS from them that they're "behind the typical processing times," whenever I email them. It's funny to me how they guaranteed me withdrawals via skrill to take between 48-72 hours before I ever deposited and now it's taken 1.5 months!!!

I'm a ROW player and have been waiting since May 18th. I'm not very confident that I'll ever get paid. It's funny to me how they guaranteed me withdrawals via Skrill to take between 48-72 hours before I ever deposited and now it's taken 1.5 months!!!

I just w/d $100 from Cake (free to Neteller, from the UK) and it took 22 days, which is not good but not terrible either. Also from Intertops in just 2 days.

As far as Carbon goes I have been hearing that they are having problems paying out as well.

That's my hope as well. A situation where you just transfer your funds over to a site that is buying them out. It's not looking good at this point though. If JS is in hit and run mode, we're probably out of luck.

Not sure if you're aware that 'Skrill' & 'Moneybookers' are one & the same.

It's a shame this network is goin' for crap (again). Cake was an ok site at one point in time.
