Being balanced means spending time with your family as well as your real job. They should always come first.

Financially responsible means making sure your bills are paid, food, housing, etc.. and that they trust your not going to use the mortgage or rent on poker.

I think it CAN be a problem if someone focuses completely on playing and ignores everything else. I have had frustrating moments when my partner has spent the whole day playing poker and fails to take care of other things that need priority.
