I never Drink while playing Poker, Even when I got free beer from the Landlord at my Local pub for running a game, I would order Shandy (Beer and Lemonade) until I got busted out of the game, and then drink straight Lager.
Every time I went into a tourney in a Casino I would drink Coffee or Coke until I got busted out and then have a few beers but once I started on the beers my gambling stopped, the two don't mix very well.

Luckily I do not have the habit of drinking alcohol but I imagine that it takes away your attention span of calculation, anyone who takes it is going to damage their poker game.

Drinking will affect your game just like it will anything else! This is why they say don't drink and drive it messes with your actions! If you're getting drunk and playing poker it's time for bed unless it's for fun!

Sometimes I can have a drink.but in this state, I try not to play poker at all.a long time ago there was a case when I sat down at the table in a state of alcoholic intoxication and started playing spin and go but only then realized that I had lost all my money that I had barely won and this was a good lesson for me.

I play poker to have fun just like the next guy/girl!! Just because I play for fun doesn’t mean I don’t take my poker seriously. I don’t have fun when I’m bleeding chips/cash due to being drunk. Maybe it’s just me but that is definitely NOT fun!! I may smoke a little to help me relax but never smoke so much that I say I’m high. If you are the type of person that has fun by playing while they are intoxicated then please let me know where and when your playing and I’ll help you have a little fun!! I definitely go to sleep when I’m intoxicated!!

it's all a matter of tastes but playing poker by consuming alcohol will surely lead you tomaking mistakes that will cost you a lot of money is not advisable to do so

I do not drink alcoholic beverages but if I drink I would not play it is like playing tired it seems to me and you would give away the money to drink it is bad, do not drink less when you play a good coffee or a mate, better playmate
