Have played a good few live tournaments on the sauce - can't really recommend doing it as it never paid off in terms of results. Had fun, played more on instinct than reason, and came 6th in a small tourney once. More often than not, being tipsy meant bad decisions and early exits/big losses... Just say No!!!

I had lost hundreds and handreds and handreds of dollars just because I was drunk. My favorite is a $ 109 tournament where I was pretty good on the first break yet ... where I fell asleep. I had a lot of lessons to learn .... but now I know: I have to drink so much ... that I can't turn on the computer.

Definitely sleep. Normally I don’t drink at all while playing, though if casino drinks are free I may order one just before I leave the table.

I only play drunk and play in freooll tournaments because there are no poker rules that work. For example, go AA and the opponent has 35 suit difference and he gets into the set
