Do you trust online poker?

Over the decades their has been plenty of problems.
It will never be as clean as a hand dealt game.
But each site seems to have slight bias
ACR is late in tourys...lower stacks lose at a higher percentage then earlier in the event.
intertops plays the cleanist! They been around forever. But very few players!
Go figure.
I use to crush at pokerstars....before black Friday.

However 888 have been very fishy since the update a couple of weeks ago...

I played a Canadian yesterday and every hand he won, 19 hands in a row!!!! A real Donk 2s7d, nothing ever connecting and still wins every hand..... Maybe its just the random number gen?

I would post the replays but 888 crashes when your look at your history

Well being a Canadian I could say good for him however do you think just because 888 system allowed him to win 19 in a row you should label him a Donk?? Perhaps a check in the mirror could be revealing? Just a thought of the 19 hands how many did you call or how many were actually played?

well so far i trust yes, i have never had any problems with poker sites, but i still believe that there may be some hack in poker!

I've often debated it over the years because you see so many baffling plays. For example other night I got knocked out of 3 tourneys in short succession by players calling or shoving on flops with 2 outs and on the turn... bam 99 hits their 9 for example. Saw another 3 way all in where AA vs KK vs AJo all in pre... AJ hits J on turn, J on river to win. Makes you wonder at first, why do they make these plays, do they know the next card coming? If I had $ 5 for every time I got in with a 95.5% chance of winning , I would be pretty rich!

At the same time, and I have formal education and experience in psychology... our brain is really good at finding patterns that don't exist or in hindsight seeing a reason that isn't really the reason. For example a player shoving their small pair (or calling the shove) when the flop didn't give them a set...they hit on the turn or river it's real easy for our brain to go "wow they would only do that knowing the next card coming!" because we can't fathom doing such a poor play ourselves. So we try to rationalize it instead of just accepting the outcome.

As for sites themselves, I trust regulated sites (ie regulated by a state or country entity in the country where the site is being used) more than unregulated sites. But at same time, I think most sites would avoid 'rigging" the deck or having "hot" seats because they print money just dealing the game. If people found and proved they did this, it would basically end the site and thus the cash cow.

Although it is fun to rant a little in chat and pretend one thinks it's rigged. Really gets some players going and off their game. Or they think you're just a complete maniac player who believes it's rigged.

I trust online poker. Even if there are terrible moves and, as a result, paranoia, why blame everything on the RNG? What is the benefit to the rooms that brazenly adjust this very generator? There is no benefit to them! Everyone is on an equal footing, if SOMEONE is moved, then at this very moment SOMEONE is moving. The rooms ono does not need to adjust anything there, it is not a casino in which we play against the institution and with a negative mathematical expectation. And in poker, we play with people like us who are also being moved. But serious players do not pay attention to this, so they succeed. And the rooms only take the rake from the hand or tournament, and it does not depend on the fact of moving one individual player.

I also thought a lot about whether online poker is twisted or not ... I've often noticed that if I win a pot with a junk hand, then pretty good hands come after ... and if you constantly fold, then a good card does not come ...

I play in Pokerstars and 888 and I feel like I'm being intentionally busted out of the MTTs like 90% of the time, even if my hand is way ahead of the opponent's hand. There always seems to be a magic turn and river card for them. It gets really frustrating knowing that you're holding the best hand and end up losing to the opponent's garbage most of the time. ��
