Used to play live sessions with friends for several years before COVID. Now we are compelled to play online on pokerstars (play money). Looking foward to the time meet each other at the real table, hope the end of this year.

I used to run a weekly League game at my local pub until Christmas 2019 and gave it up after doing it for 6 years, There were a lot of reason's behind my decision but the main one was when I was running the game I could not concentrate on playing my hands, so I felt it time to start a new year without having to get there every week and play a more relaxed game.
It was taken over by someone else who only ran it for 10 weeks before the Lock-downs started, and I only managed to play a few of them, so I returned to on-line poker and have done well over the last twelve months.
I do miss the social side of playing live games, as many of the regular players became friends and we knew each others tells, I remember a close friend of mine was playing a hand against me and I called his pre-flop raise, Checked the flop and called his bet, checked the turn and called his continuation bet, then on the river I bet out about half pot, He snap folded and said " I know what you are playing at, check calling at every street, then betting out on the river, you must have a Monster"
"Damned Right I do" as I showed him I had the nuts! But to be honest it was always kept friendly, We never got into arguments over a game, and if anyone had a problem they always looked on me to sort the problem out, mainly because I was the T.D. and had been to many casinos to know what the ruling would be.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

Alot. I much prefer live poker as opposed to online. I get a better feel for my opponents tendencies and tells when playing live.

Yes, but of course the thrill of being together with friends playing is priceless, whether it is worth a lot or a little, live poker has more emotion, remembering that we must always try to keep calm and patience so as not to open up the tracks of a good hand.

No Bologna

Badly. Played every Saturday night for years, 1 to 3 tables. Great for socializing, a few cocktails and making some money. Hope the casinos get back to regular poker so I can go there too.
