Do you eat at Casino Tables?

I would never eat at poker table. I would not like it if someone ate at poker either. It is for poker not a dining table in my opinion, if you hungry go to a dining table to eat not at a poker table.

I share the same dislike as you for the people who eat with their hands and then manipulate the chips and cards! In my case I do not usually eat at the table, I take a break and go to the bar and so I also manage to put a little serenity and return to the table with more strength!

Actually I do but tell the dealer that I'm sitting out meanwhile I eat so there won't be any distractions from me and the other players, also what you commented many people keep playing while touching there cards and chips so that's a no no for me so when I finish I go to the bathroom wash my hands and get back at it.

I agree. I don't like to watch other people eat at a poker table and I don't like to do it myself. It's better just to take a forced break and eat something in another place, and come back to the table clear-headed.

If a man is a pig, he can get dirty with a fork and knife . It is not a matter of what is , but in principle in the culture of behavior of a particular person. I personally don't mind eating a sandwich or a bun at the table. If it is neat and does not interfere with others. There are worse people at the table. Which stinks, or frankly stinks. Who picks their nose or ears, cleans the dirt from under their nails , or bites them and spits out the remains, who laughs loudly and inappropriately, swears obscenities, or worse , threatens and scandalizes. So I think food is not the worst thing at the table.

I take a break and go eat. Most of the time when I get to go to a casino eating is the only break I get away from the table besides sleep. Plus, with everyone touching the chips, table, cards, etc. I'd rather not cross contaminate any germs. I've seen people use the bathroom and not wash their hands when done. No thanks for me.

Unfortunately I have never played real poker at the table, but really want to try it, I hope that I will get to a major tournament at least once in my life!

It's more so the people that eat burgers and such with their hands and then lick their fingers and dive in to grab their poker chips. Obviously if you're eating everything with a knife and fork I don't really have an issue , Just the get their hands nasty then get the chips nasty type people. So Do you eat at live games or Prefer not to?

I forgot which book I read it from, but it warned about poker players that mark cards with the mustard from the sandwiches. But, from my experience, guys that eat at the table are not the most scary players by far.

During the game, I try not to eat at the table. It distracts me from the game. If you really want to eat, then you have to take a short break

The type of food I enjoy outside my home wouldn't mesh well at a poker table. Burgers, pizza, wings etc.
