Do you eat at Casino Tables?

Most poker rooms comp food if you're playing awhile or high limits so yes I usually take advantage of that. Someone else brought up not wanting to give up your seat and I 100% agree. However, chips are gross, players are gross, poker rooms are gross and that can really get you sick. Etiquette says eat with one hand, play with the other and for crying out loud use napkins!!! My absolute favorite was going to a room and they had a chicken wing special. Are you kidding me! Worst idea ever!

It's unpleasant as you mention. I suppose that the people who carry out these practices should at least use hygienic towels when they are going to manipulate the chips.

You can eat.drink,smoke,etc whatever you like without bothering anyone
Maybe only your computer, and maybe it will stop working at all......hahaha

I try to see if it can help me. Turns out, if they stop eating all of a sudden and pay attention, they have a pretty amazing hand. I also love when morons show their cards to their girlfriend sitting next to him. You can get the exact hand holding just looking at their girl.

I don't see a problem with eating at the table. I'll get anything as long as it doesn't get my fingers greasy to mess up the cards or chips. And only take bites when I'm not in a hand or in between hands. If your in a tourney or grinding cash for hours who wants to get away from the table to find food lol.

agreed, the main thing is to be respectful of the other players and the game. No hand-held foods, making a mess, or slowing down the action seems fair to me.

I play a lot at casino tables, especially at poker. I ate once at the poker table but will
not do it anymore it just gets my fingers messy and I would hate to get any grease on the cards. If, however I was doing good at blackjack or something like that and was hungry and
didnt want to break the lucky streak I would eat a pizza!

I always make sure to eat something that can be eaten with a fork and knife. I also make sure its something not too filling. Food coma equals bad play. Salads are my usual preference for when I play.

I dont eat at the table. I just seems rude to me and Franky with all the people who touch those chips over time...... I would not want to handle my food and those chips.

didn't expect this to get this much action. Now the poker room here has limitations on what you can have at the table. there have been so many complaints about people licking their fingers and then chipping in or taking to much time to act so the Poker Room only allows you to be in the hand with certain foods and if you are taking to long to act in a tourney because of the food they in less smart words give you a "time out"

I play a lot of tournaments, so yes of course. I do try to eat light and usually eat easy packaged foods - rarely ever order a meal at the table.
I usually bring some keto snacks - coconut oil packs, chomps jerky, sometimes some nuts. I play a lot at The Bike and get string cheese from the starbucks to round out the mix. I always have my backpack so I bring coffee and water as well.

I do find it disgusting that players eat with their hands actually touching their food then touching chips/cards etc... how gross is that??

Seriously though, I prefer not to eat at the table. Most certainly if I did, it would be a bite between hands and not during a live hand. I simply have no interest in giving my opponent more potential tells to look for; I'll just leave the table for the cafeteria and perhaps return to playing poker later.

Eating food with your hands (especially greasy foods) is just a no-no for etiquette. As noted by others, I don't really care if they have a fork / chop sticks or eating something small like oreos. I love it when other players eat, during live hands, at the table though. That's right, eat your food that way and give me potential information about your holdings. If you eat while still in the hand, you might as well be playing with your hole cards face up against me

It makes me very angry when someone eats at the table. Well, be patient or step aside. This is not a dining table but a poker.
