LOL...after breaking even on FTP after a number of SNGs then dropping ~$10, I move back to PokerStars. Get knocked out of a $1 45 seat SNG, took 2nd in the next to bring back to about where I started.

...Think PokerStars misses me.

I read you trying to build up a bank on fulltilt. I saw some 75c + 10c satty's where top two get paid. I'm not sure how these play but I often find the sattys a lot softer than normal sngs. There are also $1.80 + 20c sattys where top 3 get paid. These seem like a great deal as far as rake goes(for that stake anyway). you might check those out. Right now i'm building my stars bankroll up. Got to love those 25c rakefree 45 mans.

Hey I've played against you a bunch this week in the $10 DONs. I just started playing em.

If you play them regularly, you'll definitely see me around pretty consistently. Good luck to you :)

I was having a great month and was 19 buy-ins up - then in my last 22 sng's I have only placed itm 3 times - 1 first and 2 thirds.

:( :( :( :(

I'm having a pretty brutal run too... I guess the luck cycle has the same time frame for both of us.

And 3rd in the total profit for 10 DoN leaderboard for the 10's.

Well done.

Good job Wurly!

Thank you! Just grinding it out until my luck turns around! My last ~400 games have been pretty brutal and many hours of 27 tabling is starting to get to me. The fact that I ran so good for my first 600 makes this all the tougher to adjust to. I'll just think of it as a good test of perseverance :p

Well variance hit me yesterday also. :(
Still around 10% ROI on the 15$ Super-turbo 9-handed. :)
Also despite that bad day I'm still on sharkscope leaderboard for 5-15$ ST 9 handed (drop from 11th to 20th).
I'll probably go back to 7.5$ for a bit regenerating my BR to over 100 15$ buy-ins.
Maybe I gonna try the 6 max ones to see if I can do well in these also as I'm generally better at 6-max but don't know if it could apply to SNG's too.

Let's hope everybody could run like the first 9 days I had this month ;)

New goal: Start multitabling the HU SNGs.

I feel like I could play 2 of these (probably no more than that right now) without too much of a drop off.

Does anybody else multi the HU SNGs? Or try it and not like it?

Having one of those frustrating days - after 26 games I'm up exactly one buy in.

On the upside, I'm gonna reach my games played goal for the month easy and I feel like I'm settling into the $5 level pretty well and four-tabling is starting to feel completely natural.

But how did the rest of the day (session?) go? Did you overcome? Did you quit or keep playing?

Barely more than break even in tonight's session. AA<TT and KK<AJs kept it from being a nice result. Still need to make up for last nights 0-fer though :(

After the most brutal breakeven stretch of my life (500 games), today brought back upswingness! However, I tilted off at least 2-3 buy ins worth of EV in my last set which I have to avoid to achieve success in the long run... Hopefully everyone else's luck will also turn around!

VPP count: 2811 (about a day behind pace)
ROI: 10.7% through 1253 games

Had a pretty "bad" run those last days on 15$ Full Tilt ST : nothing dramatic but each session 2-3 buy-ins down.
So I switch down to 7.5$ ones in order to be safe with my BR. ;)
On PS, Everest and BetClic things continue to go well.
I've switched to 3.4$ 18 players turbo on PS and so far so good.
I'm playing 11$ and 22$ on Everest.
And I'm playing 5.5€ on Bet Clic with the hope of moving to 11€ before the end of the month.

Total at almost half-way of January (before today sessions) is 735 SNGs played (so I'm on the pace for my goal of 1500) with 537.70$ profit for around 11$ per hour which is sweet :)

Now as FT profits (which was the main part of my total) seems to go down I'm not sure I gonna sustain such an average on the second half of the month but should it be green numbers I would be happy and especially it is 3 digits green numbers :p

After the most brutal breakeven stretch of my life (500 games), today brought back upswingness!

Glad to hear it's passed - 500 games makes the 30 game break even stretch I've just finished seem like nothing

The month's not half over and I've already achieved my 170-game goal for the month: $200.81 up after 173 games. For the first time ever Ironman (albeit bronze) even seems achievable.

Got some work on the horizon that means I probably won't be able to sustain the same volume of play or actually make Ironman this month, I'm gonna do my best to maintain the quality though. Will probably consider bronze Ironman as a serious goal for one of the coming months.

Haha^^^^

I played a session of regular turbos today and now I am totally comvinced they are just not for me. You don't get much of a chance to build chips before shove/fold - and there are too many people left on the table when it gets there too.

Yuk!

Not much of a month profit wise, but I just played a 150 player SnG and won an entry to the million dollar turbo takedown. Now I just gotta make good on my entry.
