That is an aggressive raise from EP with 66. :)

I think I would need at least 88 to raise there and would prob only raise about 250-260.

But - horrible call with the AQ post flop lol.

These are my stats for January. I have been playing mostly 6.50 9 man turbo on pokerstars with a few of the 16 dollar(same tourney format).

Any noticable weaknesses?

I appreciate any advice I can get.

Am growing my donkey ears back and hee hawing:mad:
well on 17th started playing only 9 man sngs after playing mostly 6 max turbos not a big sample but on the way tried to apply moshmans book to 6 max with horrible results first two tourneys where last of the 6 max

Still doing my 100 game challenge except now on FTP. I like their turbo SNG setups a lot more than PokerStars. I realized the PS jumps blind levels in most of their turbo games.

10/20 15/30 25/50 50/100...5 min levels

So, even if you don't play a hand maintain a 1500 stack. In 20 minutes time, you're sitting on a 15BB/M of 10 stack and you're forced into shove/fold situations. So, it almost becomes a luckfest a majority of the time. I've been getting the bad end of those deals and I don't think I can really write an affective guide.

FTP turbos, while their levels go up every 3 minutes, increase blinds at a more steady level.

10/20 15/30 20/40 25/50....

So, even with the same 1500 starting stack, you have plenty of time to maneuver around. You'll eventually get into the same shove/fold situations but not as quickly. Since blinds don't make massive jumps like pokerstars, you're able to play a bit more patiently. Since my guide is aimed toward beginning (Turbo) SNGs players, I think these games would prove to far more affective as far as playing and adjusting to the game. I've also decided to play single table $2 games instead of the double.

Good job so far this month RidetheFlop!

Yea - I hear you on those blind structures Philthy. I love in the regular speed PS's games that the blinds only go up every 10 minutes instead of the 6 on FT.

But damn - does it have to go from $100/200 plus $25 ante to $200/400???? That is ridiculous.

But with no rakeback at FT playing at PS is a no brainer - especially with the new changes to their VIP program.

:p

I don't have rakeback. Just rakegive.

Oh, and 10 minute blinds is too boring for me...too long. LOL.

Who cares about running bad at the $10s when you can run super duper hot at the $20s :) On the other hand, I failed my team in the league game :( Hopefully, I'll do better next time...

Edit: Oh, and just for fun, I bought the discounted step 2 ticket and managed to turn it into a step 4 so I'll take a stab at the sunday million at some point :p I would play those steps so much more if there were a way to turn the step tickets into $T somehow...

You didn't let your team down Wurly!

I bought that step 2 ticket too - but regretted it when I went out 5th lol. That is the first step sng I have played since I developed a decent sng game so I was disappointed it didn't work out. Especialluy since now I will be slightly short of being able to buy the $50 bonus.

yea i am thinking about buying the 50 dollar bonus too but I was looking at the sunday quarter mil ticket that cost 700 but you can unregister for 11 tourney dollars so for 3500 you can get 55 dollars instead of the 5000 for 50.

this is just a theory I havent bought one and unregistered yet but I have won the sat into it and unregistered before. In fact that is how I rebuilt my bankroll last time I went bust(over withdraws and lack of BRM.) had like 1600 fpp and started playing the 70 fpp 10 man turbo. won a few of those unregistered and the rest is history.

Railed the tail end of that session when I saw you still in six late. Close to a couple other wins too, including AQ < A6 aipf with even stacks. Very nice. :icon_thum

No - they won't let you transfer them but thanks anyway. There is a thread at 2+2 that gives you the dates.

Unfortunately you will just get your ticket back if you unregister.

LoL cause Im greedy and I want both

Are you sure on this cause like I said I have won this ticket on a sat before and was able to unregister for tourney bucks. there are several tickets on that list some of them specifically say you cant unregister for tourney dollars but this one doesnt.

Never hurts to email support but I am fairly certain.

The difference is that when you satellite in, you obtain the "prize" whereas if you just use a ticket to register, you still have your buy-in which is still just a ticket. Therefore if you register for a tournament/satellite with real money and unregister, you will get real money back (and same thing with $T, FPPs, and tickets). Also, when you win a satellite, you win the prize or a "seat" into the satellited tournament, not a ticket. Now if you use a ticket for a satellite, win the satellite then unregister from the satellited tournament, then you will likely get the prize.

I believe that they mentioned on 2p2 that tickets that you purchase can not be unregistered for T$'s. If you buy in with a ticket, you get a ticket back.

Did you win a ticket or direct entry into the tourney when you unreged before?

I believe (and could be wrong) that that is the difference.

I bought the discounted step 1 ticket, and won step 3 today so I'll be playing in my first sunday milli to. Let me know if you play tomorrow, I might play it tomorrow if I have time.

Won't be playing tomorrow because I'm behind in my monthly grind. If I obtain Platinum Star before the 31st, I may play next week, but more likely, I'll be playing sometime in February. Good luck if you play tomorrow!

Thanks, and good luck to you picking up platinum star. Guess I should stay out of the $10 DONs for a little while lol.

I'm done responding to random posts. I know I don't come off as very friendly but I am always trying to either help someone or get a constructive discussion going but it always ends up with some responses tilting me real hard (not in this thread) *takes deep breath* Okay back to studying then grinding.
