Id say my aces hold up between 75% and 80% of the time just as the odds say....hand historys will reveal the real numbers but overall most of the time my aces are solid. Lots of players make critical errors playing aces and often screw themselves. You've got the have the ability to fold your aces (post flop) if you know you need to.

If your aces are only holding 30-40% of the time you are either misplaying them completely or your hand sample is way too small and you are looking at a bad run of short term results.

Last year at the WPT 5 Diamond classic $10k buy in set a WPT record with a prize pool of $7.8 million dollars.

Benjamin Zamani got it all in on the bubble with AK vs Villans KQ - and the first card on the flop came a Q so its not just us online players who have some bad runs at times...i couldnt imagine going out on the bubble like that with a dominant hand - but i dont play at that level either so it is hard for me to imagine. He got his money in a 75% favorite...cant ask for much more - your aces should be the same.and so should the attitude you have for them :)

In most cases I bet high on the preflop, to get the middle hand off the table and to get easier to play on the post flop. After this I evaluate the community cards and according to what turned around I continue to increase or wait for the action of the opponent. I try not to be too aggressive to show such strength, nor do I lose too much if the villain has more luck. I think I win 6/10 AA hands

Online, my AA holdup about 80% of the time preflop and by the time it reaches the river, about 50% of the time.

Villain usually has a decent if not fairly strong holding to call all 3 streets.

Live...well that's a different story. Only 40% of them hold all-in pre-flop. Who knows what's wrong with my casino. LOL

To those who think they are having a problem with AA, please post some hand histories for review by the community.
We'll find out why you're losing with AA.

Well, AA is best hand preflop, worth slowplaying it, but this hand is never lucky for me, winning percent seems to be like 20% out of 100 for me. I really don't like to play this hand aggressively and i never go all in with this hand UTG. Can 3bet or so.

I lose with them about 60% of the time online. People don't believe me when I bet with them. I try and change my betting patterns with them so no one would know that I have them. It doesn't mater what I do with them they still lose more often then they win.

The only time it seems to be a problem is when I get on a roll in a tournament and then get dealt AA, I raise less than 3x, and the flop would come all crazy coordinated.
But after watching the first 5 minutes of this BenCB video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJmiaIf5kf8
I now realize I should have been prepared to let them go on these coordinated boards.
If you cannot make laydowns like these then you should probably just take them all in preflop as a lot of hands that called my raises to beat me post flop would have likely folded to an all in preflop bet.

Bad arm AA? How often do you win with such a hand? Personally, I win with pocket aces in 4 cases out of 10. How often do you win with this hand? How do you think it's good to play this hand on the pre-flop :deal::deal::deal:

LOL I starting to hate AA... I lose with it 1/3 the time... seems I play AA I win tiny pots and lose giant ones
i have totally stopped slow playing AA , which caused many a disaster

It's hard to keep track of that stat because you always remember when you lose with them . But I prefer a large enough preflop raise to try and get down to 1 opponent . That is determined by a lot of factors , position , how aggressive the opponents are ,whether a cash game or MTT , chip stack and what part of tourny you're in . If it's an aggressive table and I'm in early position ,I sometimes min raise trying to entice a re-raise then go all in . But I feel I win about 60% - 70% of the time I'm dealt them . Good luck .

I will often bet 3 1/2 times the BBs preflop in any position at the table when I have aces to isolate aggressive players because I know that I most likely have the best hand. When the board is dry after the flop I will make a heavy reraise if I am in position in order to get a 3-bet so I can go all in. This strategy will not always work. You will get outdrawn occasionally. You are supposed to be winning more than 8/10X when you are playing heads up. I think that everybody goes thru certain streaks where they are get outdrawn a lot, but eventually, things will start to even themselves out If you are getting your money in good and playing the hand correctly,

Those of you who slowplay aces and think they lose too often should ask themselves if the player who got lucky would have entered the pot at all if you made a pot size raise preflop...

Most of the time I see people losing big time with AA it is their own fault and not a question of being lucky or not. If you just limp or make a small raise with AA you are inviting a lot of mediocre hands to see a flop because pot odds allow them to have a look....

Stop inviting your opponents to get lucky! Play. More aggressive preflop to force weak hands to fold. Then procceed with caution after the flop of the board is dangerous. Even aces should be folded after the flop from time to time. Use pot control. Don’t jam if you haven’t made your set. AA is just a pair and an opponent who calls big bets after the flop probably has something better or a super strong draw

Approximately% 69 I win with AA, and it’s hard to get this hand thrown out pre-flop.

When my AA's went to showdown, I thought I was winning about 35% of the time. So this year, I decided to take a screenshot (tournaments only). It's pointless with uncontested AA's, so have not bothered with them.

I have just checked them. Surprise, surprise. I have won the pot seven times and lost zero.

Early next year I was going to create a thread titled "My bad luck with AA". While it's early days, I may have to change that title.

I'm now wondering whether I should be posting this, because it's really tempting fate. I'm usually just so unlucky.

Checked my DB and it's my most profitable hand. That means I'm probably playing it right. Some people will stack off with AA regardless of board and action. It's crazy, cuz it's kinda hard to play multi-handed in single-raised pots.

I have won 90.3% of the time with Aces in tournaments in my last 8,000 hands since I purchased HM2 in December and started tracking.

Is your statistics based on something other then an overall feeling?

I have been keeping statistics for a few years now, and AA is around 75% winner, including both small and big pots. It is near impossible to have 40% win ratio with AA over a huge hand sample, unless you are folding them post-flop way too much.
This isn't true. I play at Inter tops and it keeps track of your cards and how often they win. Muy AA are only at 56 percent. I am way more aggressive than most people with aces. If I don't have you all in free flop it's amazing. My KK are at 70 percent. Big difference. Today I was knocked out with AA. Pre flop I bet 10 BB got two callers. Flop came out k,9,10 rainbow. I bet the pot only one caller. Turn is a A. I go all in he calls with j,10. River is a Q. This happens so often I'm not surprised anymore. Other players where like wow. It's rigged if you believe otherwise your duped. Play for entertainment. Let's play poker.

Better than 90%. Just knowing how to play them is key. I have folded AA many times and don't consider that as part of the statistic. When I decide to play them I try to wring as much value as I can while knocking out speculative hands and those loose little monsters (22..etc that will kill your bankroll).

I'd have to say 75 to 90% of the time. I've seen some much lower percentages on previous posts, and that just baffles me. If I don't end up being all in preflop, I will be by the turn. The flop? Sure I'm trying to get the most value, but I'm also trying to prevent suck outs, if possible. Not much you can do if they catch a set. But other than that, I'm betting like my aces are going to vanish at any second.

pocket AA

In my opinion you should try to bet hard before flop to get some people out of the hand because if everyone calls and you do not flop well you can get in trouble with that hand. However going all in is too much sometimes depending you have to follow your instinct.
