Ok what is "TPE", i'm obviously really stupid, lol.

Bluefire is pretty good, lots of new pros that join that. I know two of the SNG coaches there and they are quite good. I've heard the cash lineup is great, not sure about the MTT though.

A keapy site? wow you really are ignorant. TPE is a must for any serious MTT player. You get access to players who actually care about their members for a minimal cost and provide content that is fresh relevant and well made. The content is diverse with a array of videos from High, mid stakes, low stakes and micro mtts so there is something for everyone. And most of all membership is dirt cheap for what you get.
I've had a few short-term memberships on a variety of sites (including Poker X Factor, Poker Savvy, DragTheBar, GrinderSchool, & have watched a bunch of vids. from other sites) & when TPE first came out I bookmarked the site thinking I'd consider joining up at some point (but then never did as I pretty much video'd myself out & haven't watched a training vid. now for ~1yr.).

This thread has renewed my interest & I will probably get it now.
Which sites do they take p2p transfers from?

Before you shoot off and sign up for some coaching or paying to watch videos etc etc, exhaust all the free stuff that is out there on the net. Get a poker buddy to share hands with and bounce ideas off. Watch every video that is applicable to you. Write down your poker strengths and your poker weaknesses so that you can focus learning. If you have any poker books, read them again, you will be amazed what you missed/didn't understand first time around. Play as much as you can afford to and then pick whatever sample you have to pieces.

Once you have done all that, and then some, you should have a very solid foundation to build from and thats when you are ready to pay your hard earnt cash for something that will benefit your game.

If you think you are at that point already, then read as many reviews as you can find on the training sites that appeal to you.

Wherever your game is now, good luck with your future endeavours.

Seems they do take transfers on Lock & Carbon (I contacted Killingbird).

Hmm... so that's what I can do with those Lock $'s that are just sitting collecting dust ;)

prob worth it imo, there is also a good forum for posting hands etc as well the video content. check out the theory section if you do imo

thanks for the tips.
No doubt it's worth it... forum, etc. sounds like a cool bonus.
Only thing keeping me from getting on there immediately is that I haven't been playing much this past month or two as I've been way too busy with life stuff (work, etc.) & want to be sure I've got some time to set aside (like the 10mins. I've just spent here on CC right now, lol).

tks again

You shold train in 100-1000 players (50-500) freerols like concord gaming, 24h poker and others.
Play level is not so bad, and very good experience.

Poker Training Site Comparison

This isn't a bad chart, but it was created by the owner of MoreEV, and I think it has a few ways it can be improved.

- PokerStrategy is probably the largest training site today. It's not even listed.

- MoreEV should just say N/A for subscriptions, not free, because they do not do subscriptions and there already is a free section.

- Some of the poker sites listed with the free trial allow you to download hundreds of videos free within a week or two. This isn't represented too well on the chart imo (what's the difference between watching 200 videos on MoreEV or HUSNG and signing up then cancelling to DC and watching 200 videos? Other than having to input credit card and remembering to cancel.. they're both free...).

- Some sites have had quizzes that aren't listed here. HUSNG (PokerStrategy was obviously built on quizzes).

- Not all the categories (with few, none, many) are correct for every site.

I think the author of the chart was well intentioned, but he obviously knows a lot more about his own site and probably put his own site a bit too favorably (maybe not on purpose even) compared to the other sites. The biggest thing really is just missing the largest training site out there right now (PokerStrategy).

There are also another dozen sites that sell videos that you could add to the list for completeness.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question more specifically. I would really suggest looking for individual videomaker advice. Such as "xxx from DC" or "zzzz from DTB." Cash and MTT is competitive enough that no one site I believe is far ahead of everything else, so if you want the top 20 or 30 videos from MTTs or Cash games (gotta be more specific for cash games too, 6 max NL? PLO cash? HU cash? FR?), you'll probably want to look at free trial/1 month subscribing to a handful of sites if you want to be most efficient and get the maximum value for your time and money.

And time really is the biggest factor. Unless you're buying $500 video packs on a whim, your time spent studying the packs, asking questions, learning, playing, watching some more, rewatching and so on is likely going to be a much bigger deal than the few months of subscriptions you spend at any site. Making sure you're not wasting time on videos that aren't best for you is at least as important. Putting 30 hours into a site when there is only 5 hours of value for you on that site would be a huge mistake that costs more than a few months subscriptions. Same goes for the free content. Free is great, but make sure quality is also worthwhile. There are some great free videos, and some not so great ones.

I found pokerstar's pokerchool really good, they teach very good poker and have promotions for players, even if you are new they help you to start your bankroll, and most of the people are nice and help you. There are trainers that organize online training and you see them play on tables and they explain every thing they do. It is a great school in my opinion

Not sure if it's still up but Pokerschoolonline by pokerstars used to have a wealth of free information and lessons. It's definitely a good deal for the price.

GrinderSchool is fantastic for anyone who's still in the micros. They're also running a special on subscriptions during this entire month of December.

And no - I have no affiliation with them whatsoever.

right now there are 2 leagues in poker schools online, runitonce.com and the others. Even so for beginners you can get so much value in the others... just start looking around in the schools with 7 days free trial

I found pokerstar's pokerchool really good

I stumbled across it the other day and now see it mentioned several times in this thread. Is it free? Is it available to US players?
