deucescracked is really good for everything imo

From what I've seen - DeucesCracked is the best all around site for it's value. CardRunners has some amazing lecture style videos as well but it has an expensive sign up fee.

I'm using GrinderSchool right now and when I move up in stakes I'll switch over to DeucesCracked.

I took and passed the poker stars school test without reviewing the material. I've read a few books but am no pro.

Based on that I'd say it depends on what you want. There is a lot of good general info on ps but YouTube is a wealth of freebies with some really dense videos on math etc if you want something in between without paying.

Are there any sites that offer a transcript of their training videos? I have watched numerous free videos from various sites and ALL of them have dubious sound quality and usually someone with an American accent who mumbles - I have been so very disappointed with them and cannot hear most of what they drawl. Very unprofessional - but I would pay good money for a professionally-presented set of videos. Can anyone help?

There are definitely some good sites with professional sounding videos. Your game says NL holdem, that's a little general, but take a look at deucescracked, dragthebar, leggopoker (iveypoker now), runitonce and sites like that and they usually have a free trial where you can test out many of their videos before purchasing. I think you'll find several of those sites have professional sounding videos.

Such a pity. I've looked at more free videos from several more sites including all those above and they are so unprofessional - mumbling and dropping their voices constantly. And all appear to be in American, made 'on the spot' without a proper script and with cursors waving all over the place. I know for certain that the sound quality could be much better. Honestly I can hardly hear a single word. Are there any made in the UK does anyone know?

Personally I really like PokerVIP when it comes to training video's. I have watched a lot of those myself.

They are professional and oooh most of them are free through referal programs :)

I found that gripsed on YouTube has been pretty helpful. Has a little bit of both MTTs and cash games, I think he's more of an MTT player though.

Hey Xavier. I had a month at CardRunners & it was excellent. Can't speak for the others, but I don't suppose you can go far wrong with any of the above :) choose the site specifically for your game. Eg.

Poker Tournament Edge: Best for tourneys
Dueces Cracked is supposed to be the cash daddy
HUSNG for heads up
& card runners is a good all rounder from what I saw, with outstanding sit and go contributions by Collin Moshman & Jackall (Phil Shaw)

keep me posted mate on whichever you join please as I am weighing up my next training site.

I thought I'd try out a trainer, now that I am finally learning this game properly, and opted for the above mentioned one from Ace Poker Drills, but...

Oops, it gave me the opponent's outs (bottom left of image) ?!?!?

Pretty good trainer, but a bit buggy :(
At least the video tutorial that comes with it has made the use of Pot odds and Pot equity clearer to me now :D
