I did some of them, most had no stats cause they didn't play at 100nl or higher. One of them lost like 12k at 2/4. But he wasn't one of the nitty SN's.

I started out the month great, winning 4+ buy-ins on the first day of grinding out 25nl, but after a few sessions I'm now only at 21 buy-ins. Not sure what my limit is for moving down, but I definitely don't want to go back to 10nl. 25nl is fun. You play 6-max, Sindri?
Yeah mostly 6max but some FR if i feel like going into robot mode with a bunch tables :).

Oh and the Supernovas i see at 25nl are almost all former 100-200NL losing regs.
Granted if only PTR two of them, but they where both what apered to be near bustos and such big nits that with the Dsvw post i could own them :D.

A lot of the ones i have seen at 25nl 6max have been really nitty also, with the exception of some of them having massive 3bet %s from the blinds

I think I may make a Full Ring reg sheet for 10 and 25NL.

Would anybody be interested in this ?

Just mainly for people making the move and having no stats so they can have some stats and background on regs.

Any interest?

So my wife takes the kids out of town on Thursday for a long weekend because her best friend is having a baby. By a stroke of good luck, my section of the project I'm on breaks for those two days so other sections can catch up. Time to seriously grind!!

Except, what's up with all of the mid-day shortstackers!!! Seriously, when I play at night, I know there's going to be at least 2 at every 25NL table on FT. I try to switch if it reaches 3 unless there's a mega fish on the table. But during the day for the last two days, every single table has at least 4 shortstackers on it! WTF?

I'm done! At least for a while. I had three br's on three sites and all of them are gone to seriously bad play. Not on my part, but just idiots calling T7o, 22 to a 3bet, and just total junk hands.

I'm not in the mood to deal with it anymore. I try to play as solidly as possible and just lose, lose, lose. I'm sick of this game.

lol I had 25o i thought you would say something about that lol

50NL is WV's signature all over. Postion + Aggro = $$$

You just get owned if your not aggro and not in position!! Im beginning to slowly mold my game to it in my 3rd session today after a shitty start to the day!

lol, I'm not aggro like at all at 50nl, and i mean not at all, and im beating it at 8bb/100 over 30k hands :p. Running hotter than the sun helps that though, but of course the old tight/passive play style is still rocking its way through town

I wish I could play that way. You must teach me !
I lose so much value steamrolling people with weaker hands not giving them oppurtunity to give me their money, making it easy even for fish to see they're beat. And of course losing a lot of moniez when I bluff/barrel/meet a hand im dominated by etc

Finding it nicely profitable atm to ISO with abit wider than my normal range OTB. It was probs a touch too tight from 25NL anyway.

Also 3betting IP is working nicely aswell so far, a big problem for me is running ok but playing badly. Im losing too many $15/$20 pots which is crippling my sessions atm!

Ye im not saying that aggression + position wont kill the games, since it will. I just just throwing out that there are other styles out there, some of which may be more profitable

Todays kicked me in the ballsack and put me into the red for the month after a nice 1.5BI start. I am not playing my best poker atm and want to change that around this weekend so I am going to set some goals.

Goals For The Weekend

1. 8k hands
2. Play more aggressive in position
3. play a hell of a load less pots out of position - I think this looks like where the -$10/-$20 pot loses are coming from. I am losing a load of these compared to how many I am actually taking down which is steming from position so I need to be in position!!
4. Play solid poker

Anyone play the pot limit tables? I have been kind of avoiding those, don't have a lot of experience with them. Wasn't sure what kind of adjustments need to be made or if they are more/less profitable than nl.

Ah.PL might be my favourite hold'em. It is wired for me.

The main difference in PL is pre flop play tends to be much less defining and it is possible to see a few more flops than you might at NL, then post flop play becomes where the battle takes place.

That said, drawing hands, though more powerful in PL than NL need to be avoided OOP.

Knowing your play, I think you'd find the adjustment fairly easy. For the most part they are similar.

btw, since Jurn wanted updates on everyone's progress so far, up 2 buy-ins for the month so far. Started off up almost 4 but kinda swong around a bit before finishing up tonight's session +$50. 25nl is so goddamn fun it's not even funny. Also, I mentioned this in the April thread, but I'm planning on quitting my job in a couple of weeks, so starting in May, I will actually be living off poker income.

Before you guys get on me about being a complete idiot, hear me out. Yes, I am completely aware that playing 25nl is nowhere near enough to make a decent living, even if I were completely crushing the game. But here's my situation: I got accepted into grad school which I'll be attending in the fall (late August or sometime around there). I'd probably have to move away by early August at the earliest, which means I'd probably have to quit my job shortly before then anyway. Currently my expenses are a little over $500 a month. This includes rent, utilities, food, gas, hookers, etc. I've also got money stashed away in savings (several $k) in case I need it. For the past few months, I've grinded out 5nl and 10nl and make anywhere from $200-$400 a month playing there. Since I probably won't ever have this kind of opportunity again (playing poker for a "living" and having pretty much as minimal expenses as I can ever hope for), I figured now is the time to do it. After I move to Raleigh in August, I'll start to look for a job again and resume a non-degenerate lifestyle. Now that that's all said and done, it doesn't sound so bad does it? :D

Anyway, super stoked for April 15th. I don't think I'm going to miss my work at all! Bring on the beach and the pokers all summer long, baby!
