In my opinion, poker is not for children, I think people should play poker from the age of 20.

I learnt young and i taught my own son young. Lots of skills can be developed though games such as poker. I have also tried to teach him about gambling. Its not about becoming rich through it, dont try. Its not worth wasting it, if its not enjoyed. Enjoy it or dont do it.

I think so, but only for entertainment purposes, earning money will come later ;) Playing cards can be addictive and this form of fun is certainly better than sitting in front of a smartphone screen.

I have learned to play poker since I was 10 years old, I think it would be good to learn poker as a child and if it goes well, then from the age of 18 you can start making money

I think it's important to start them off playing micro stakes SnG's and get them to build up to where they are easily able to 10-table them.
(get them 1 large monitor to start off with... a 38inch Wide monitor, should do the trick).

Treat it just as you would treat school homework. They must play for at least 2 hours., 4 days/week... and study for 3hours on Saturday before they are allowed to go out & play (no cartoons! Just poker!).

Once they are 12years old they should be expected to play longer hours, more study and also expand to playing cash games for 3 mos. to get a solid foundation for deeper stacked post-flop play that they'll need as they begin to tackle MTT's. Obviously they should move to MTT's next... this is where the easy money is!!! Of course hours played will become much longer. NO extra curricular activities for this child now... they MUST PLAY POKER!!!
soccer (football) games - NO
video games on TV - NO
watching movies - NO
listening to music - NO (not unless it's music in the background of a Twitch poker streamer)

Increase playing hours to 2 nights of 6hours each. And then both Saturday & Sunday, 8 to 10 hours each day!

Of course they will be staked and they will be giving you 60% of their profits! The other 40% you will hang on to for them,... investing it as you choose.

Focus on honing your skills, enjoying the game, and understanding the potential risks associated with gambling to make informed choices in adulthood.

In my opinion, children will benefit more from reading books regardless of who they want to become or who they will become. The books will be more useful and a better foundation for even a possible potential player.

Children should be taught how to be good gamblers. it should be taught in the schools. Things like pot odds and discipline and gambling equations should all be taught rather than just telling children that gambling is bad. They should be taught bankroll management and how they should never chase losses. And they should be taught how to play poker at a young age. It should be drilled into their head that they should never ever place a bet unless they think the odds are in their favor enough to cover the rake. They should be taught how rake works and how to calculate it in things like sportsbetting.

What is better to teach a child to smoke and watch porn or to teach a cool game of poker and I didn't mention a word about money, then I wouldn't teach a child chess or checkers, poker is just as innocent

Of course, poker is a good game for kids, because when people reach the age of 18, they become unfortunate losers who don't know anything about poker.

because it was previously unknown

Introducing children to poker can have educational benefits, such as strategic thinking and math skills. However it's crucial to consider age appropriate alternatives and emphasize responsible gaming values.

No, this is a bad idea. Children should understand what is happening and not believe in miracles. Poker is a game for adults.

Yes it would be good to teach kids poker, but not with emphases on gamble. More in the direction of evaluating people. Study every expression and movement. It would definitely help in all aspects of life growing up. And maybe they can profit from it as well.

Teaching I think there's no problem... what you can't do is for a child to start playing and not want to stop, but that fits any type of game, not just poker.

You are some strange people, on the poker forum you advocate that children should not be taught to play poker... example, Uno is ok, but poker is not? It's just a card game like any other card game - nobody talks about gambling/playing for money..., ;)

(Talk lady who learned to play poker at an early age, I haven't played for money for probably 10 years after learning how to play it..so... :D )

Hello friend, for me I think it is not advisable to teach a child to play poker, because he is in full development and I think it would be better for him to choose a dynamic game so he can enjoy playing with other children. Since they are growing, I think it is better to look for games with physical activity.
