The biggest poker mistake I’ve ever made happens more often than I want to. It is usually when I don’t think through the hand properly while playing hand, and then making a bad fall or call.. there are many times. It’s just not easy to properly think it through and I rush and that is my biggest problem.

I know it's been mentioned many times here, but I agree that losing patience is probably my biggest flaw when playing poker.
It's extra frustrating because you play for so long sometimes and one mistake just derails everything.

I can tell you the factor that probably took me to live some of my biggest regrets in poker: unlimited re-buy.
If something does not go as it should in a field or tournament, don't insist on it. Preserve your bankroll and live to fight another day; you probably need to improve your game and mindset to win it.
Another thing: forget about a big hit, the only thing that will result in victory is you being prepared for it.
Then said, live always improving yourself and studying based on what you like to play. Just as you are doing here, chat about you it, watch other players, share your doubts and build a strong mindset to play consistently.

I don't particularly remember any specific mistake, i make them all the time. I think the biggest mistakes to make, is calling when you know you are beat. Also bluffing at a pot when you know you are getting called down is another mistake. Especially if these scenarios cost you tournament life or a large percentage of your stack.

My biggest mistake that I made before was not following bankroll management. When I first started playing, I didn't quite understand how to properly manage my bankroll, I didn't follow any restrictions and lost my bankroll several times.

Folding the winning hands on heads up, just because the other player has bluffed nothing.
Frustrating regret, was not having enough chips to make my 'all in' worthwhile to take down the table by ending up with a Royal Flush...😔😔😔

My biggest mistake was in a live casino game. Only two of us left at the river. Villain turned over his trip KKK, and I mucked my hand. Then it dawned on me - I had him beat with a straight!! Had I turned my hand over, the cards would have read. Not sure how big the pot was, but I still have the shirt on my back.

That is a tough one.
You have a lot of company with that one too. What I think happens is that we are concentrating so hard on what we are holding or what we are hoping for, that we don't notice what else our hand could be.I've been playing casino poker for probably thirty years and had the same thing happen to me once when I first started playing. Since that time unless everyone else folds, and I've double checked with the dealer that everyone has folded, I always turn over my cards. I actually saw the same thing happen yesterday during a showdown.
One of the two players turned over his hand containing two unconnected cards that made a straight. The other player holding 99, who had been hoping for his two pair to win, turned over his cards and congratulated his opponent on the straight. Another player spoke up and said that the player with the 99 actually had the higher end of the straight and he won the hand. If it hadn't been for that other player he would have given away a nice pot.
What I think happens is that we are concentrating so hard on what we are holding or what we are hoping for, that we don't notice what else our hand could be. If anyone knows someone going for their Phd in psychology that might be an interesting and unique subject to do a study on.

Other than misreading my hand a few times over the years, my biggest mistake was one that I made late in a tournament yesterday. With eight players to go, in a tourney that paid to third place, I had just under 6BBs left in my stack. I was on the button and there was one or two before me who had called. I had a hand that was in my normal range for that position, but on the more marginal end of that list. I went all-in and five cards later was on my way home.
Anyone who has played with me enough times will have seen me fold hands until I have actually been forced into an all-in when the big blind came around. My mistake was not doing that here, and to not wait until I had a better hand or I had no choice but to go all-in. My thought process was flawed and deviated from my usual method. I thought that I was making that play in order to build my stack, so that I could get past the five players necessary for me to be in the money. In fact, that was not my reason
As I listened to Johnny Cash on the two hour drive home, I ran that hand over in my head. I realized that I was tired and was in too big a hurry to make something happen. In other words subconsciously I was ready to be done and acted accordingly. My patience had taken a back seat to my fatigue/boredom. As I've learned in other competitive activities, that is a major ingredient in the recipe for failure.
