Hi there.My 1st contact with poker was when i was 17 and some friends were playing a game with cards ,i asked what was that and they answered POKER....since there i am addicted .During years i gained xp and i would like to reach the highest level of skill .Good luck friends.

First contact I agree it was maybe movies , maybe some TV series when we are kids (or this doesn't count ????) You get used with people getting excited with the cards , the game , etc .

Ofcourse later when I was teen followed Friends and family members , .some good memories and some fun during my first novice games with cards .

The full , real seduction from poker came later watching all these idols playing on TV shows that I didn't want to miss any of them and I was a fanatic watcher and then I really loved poker . Later it was internet where I learned so much , all the info for the online poker rooms so I got way a lot more interested

Thanks to one of my friend

I started to play poker thanks to one of my friend. He told me about it and we started to play for fun and we used to play almost every day then I saw on espn some poker tournaments and some cash game on espn and every day I liked poker more and more. Now I play cash and I would like to play some tournaments. I would like to improve my game and maybe one day I could play agains the best players in the world

Have enjoyed playing card games before the bell rings to start our school day. It was gambling but not actually a form of poker. I was introduced to actual poker through television and when it was very popular on the internet years ago.

In brazil the card game is popular, but poker is not a popular game in Brazil, even in this country casinos are forbidden by law and many have learned to play online poker and have sympathized through the tv.

I used to watch my parents play friends for change when I was a little kid. They played crazy games like 7 card no peek and baseball with 3 and 9s wild. Nowadays I can't get my local home game to play pineapple. Seems to be strictly hold em and plo now.

Watching the wsop on ESPN every year as a kid was a fun time for me, always loved it, though I certainly didn't understand it. Many years later in high school my parents would go out of town most weekends and leave us kids at home, and we ended up arranging a weekly $10 winner takes all poker game. We'd usually get 10-15 neighbor kids and their friends to come play, and since we hosted, we got a free buy in.
