First Time
My younger brother invited me to play a .25/.25 home game with his friends. I was nervous that I would just lose all my money, so I tried to study a few YouTube videos, but they were mostly the SUPER introductory stuff. I also played on the Facebook
App.
I really enjoyed playing live, and there was a single particular hand that got me hooked.
I was in position, and I turned the nut straight with the backdoor nut flush draw. We ended up getting it all in, and I failed to hit the nut flush (which I needed). I lost the hand, but I was excited to have correctly known where I stood in the hand.
Following that, I studied and started playing
freerolls on BetOnLine. About 3 months later I played my first $40 live tournament at a local charity room, and I took 1st for a prize of ~$535. I've been grinding ever since.
