I took a bad beat when I was 9 playing a game for pennies against the neighborhood kids. I brought the most pennies to the table and quickly, I had the least. After learning how to play a little more through a few pots, I decided that the game was relatively mathematical, thus, I'm a lifer. : ) PS I took a second bad beat in that session at age 9 and lost all my pennies. gambling in all forms, betting on sports, accepting friendly wagers, flipping coins, I also started making coin games for huge house parties and places where a casino atmosphere can be the livelihood of the party. Like I said, it's not even necessarily poker so much as gambling with me. I do enjoy competing with other people mentally, for money, however, so ... I suppose that aspect of the game, along with calculation, really sparks my inquisitiveness. 25 off suit preflop against a push, I'm thinking, I've seen worse. So maybe it is gambling, :-|
