What got you into Poker?

My son started playing poker before me. So I wanted to know what kind of game it is. Had some money on Betandwin account. It was in the end 2008. I found the game fascinating and playing ever since.

i think it was the big game on tv. Watched it for fun every night a few years ago and thought: i gotta start playing.

That show made them alot of money.

After I saw an advertisement about poker on TV, I thought to myself that it was not a bad thing to make a game of poker. Began to study the highlights of this wonderful game. Enrolled in a school of poker and passed course. Then I passed the test and received his "first" capital. Well, now I am determined to not just play but also to make this amazing game

I can't remember what year it was now. But it was when NHL players went on strike or lockout or whatever it was called. there was no hockey on the sports channel. So instead Poker was on TV to fill it in that year. Watched it and really began to like it, which made me want to play it.

I took a bad beat when I was 9 playing a game for pennies against the neighborhood kids. I brought the most pennies to the table and quickly, I had the least. After learning how to play a little more through a few pots, I decided that the game was relatively mathematical, thus, I'm a lifer. : ) PS I took a second bad beat in that session at age 9 and lost all my pennies. That, and I enjoy gambling in all forms, betting on sports, accepting friendly wagers, flipping coins, I also started making coin games for huge house parties and places where a casino atmosphere can be the livelihood of the party. Like I said, it's not even necessarily poker so much as gambling with me. I do enjoy competing with other people mentally, for money, however, so ... I suppose that aspect of the game, along with calculation, really sparks my inquisitiveness. 25 off suit preflop against a push, I'm thinking, I've seen worse. So maybe it is gambling, :-|

At first i begin to play at Vkontakte after watched TV channel, and saw advertisment of PS and downloaded it.

I watched the first time this game at TV and I like it. Later I type on google poker and I installed to my computer. The first room was PDC from google and I played a lot of freerolls before I cashed and later I hit something big.

I was playing chess for quite a while. Even if I was relative good in chess, only the real top players can make big winnings. And then I looked for a logical game, that you can make money with. but of course it's also difficult in poker for a beginner..

We always played cards at home and when the family got together for holidays, vacations, etc. we always sat around the table and played poker. It wasn't holdem in those days but Stud; draw poker, Jacks or better and a variety of wild card games. This was in the 70's, 80's & 90's.

Fast forward to 2005, my husband & I were at a casino; he was playing Holdem and I was playing slots. I could lose $100 in record time and this occasion was no different! I came to the conclusion that I could stretch my $100 much further at the poker table so I sat down and learned the game as I played! I played for an hour or more and left the table with $20 more than I started with!

The rest, as they say, is history!

I used to watch my dad and uncles play poker all the time when I was young kid. I was fascinated that there was real money to be won so that was the catch for me. I couldn't wait to get old enough to play :icon_colo

It was like 2007 and I randomly had a pre paid credit card on me that I was using on a online casino being a typical degenerate. Then I just decided to try poker one day. Played a $5 sng on bovada and the rest is history!
