Tournaments or Cash Games?

Cash games are good because you can play however long you want each session. You can sit out whenever you need to without penalty. Cash games the blinds aren't going to go up either so your game strategy will stay the same throughout the session and only change depending on opponents.

Tournaments you are going to be at the table for a long time if you make the final table which is where the big money is. You only get 5 minutes break every hour on the hour. You can't sitout without being blinded out while you are gone. Tournament grinds take alot more dedication and time than grinding cash games.

The allure of the tournaments are the BIG paydays when you bink one. Cash games you will not experience this feeling. You also will not have bubble play and other exciting situations that make tournaments more popular than cash games to the recreational players.

Both have their ups and downs you just have to choose which one fits into your life better. I try to mix in cash games but I mostly play mtt's and sng's.

If you hate cash games, then you will not want to put in the hours necessary to make an hourly. If you love cash games, then go play cash games. If you love tournaments, then go play tournaments.

Depends on the person in my opinion. Tourneys are more fun, but the big ones take a while and you can still walk away losing after a long session.

Lately I have leaned a little more towards cash games even though I have always preferred tourneys in the past. My sample size lately isn't too big lately, but I think I'll keep playing cash games more often.

surely tournaments are much better. They allow you to win a big prize at little risk and that is a great advantage. In my case playing tournaments was a well-made choice

i prefer MTT's than cash games, though you can win more playing cash games IMO

It depends on what you're into your poker style.for me cash games are more expensive to play and luck seems to be a bigger factor than skill. For example i got JJ twice in a recent cash game and lost both times against AA and QQ without being re raised until the river and the board was under 10 both times no red flags just being trapped without light at the end of the tunnel!

I think you stay at tournaments. With cash tables you can easily lose your money. Play smaller tournaments if it works, but this is just my opinion.

You can definitely win more playing cash since tournaments have higher variance and take much longer. But tournaments are much more entertaining which is why most twitch streamers play tourneys.

I like both but prefer cash for faster money and lesser variance.

It depends on the amount of time I have to play if I have a few hours to play i’ll play a tournament if only
a short period of time I’ll play on a cash table. I prefer tournaments I enjoy the challenge of making the final table and further. Cash games you can have quick gains but also you lose a lot very quickly... the reason I normally just stick to tournaments.

Hi guys, 2 am here, i was playing a tournament like 6 hours, and i won some money, i would like to ask what is better play tournaments or cash games, i mean in a cash game you can lose or win money so quick meanwhile in tournament you have to be patient and win all the chips you can , some of the gratest players dont play cash games and they just play tournaments why? i woul like to read your answers,ty.

Once you get the grasp of cash games, you will realise that there is ton of value especially in micro/low stakes where the competition is softer. Theconcept is a small win every single day, where in MTT's you have to deal with a big amount of swings...
