My idea here is that sports betting is reactive in its nature. You just collect information and react to the events in the game (for example the cash out option). You can not do anything to influence the end result of the game. In poker though despite of your cards (good or bad) you can make your opponent to fold his hand so that you win in the end by good bluff or semi bluff for example. That's why in my opinion poker gives you more freedom to influence the end result of the game. Saying this though i have friends who earn money from sports betting so it is possible to be winner from it also but it requires you to investment much more time and to constantly look for information to improve your chances of winning. I personally make sports betting only for fun occasionally and only with small amount of money.

one way can be a resource to the other if you are good at sports betting you can use it to fund your poker activity and if you are good at poker you can fund your sports betting activity , i think poker is better because you can affect the outcome if you play good or bad

I think the profit can come from both sides, it depends on what you dedicate and practice the most. I believe that good information and knowledge of each sport makes sports betting regulars good profits! GL!

I've done very well in sports betting,... but there is no action in the event for me, unfortunately. I do not do well in MTT poker, mostly because of the super aggressive deep pocket players in rebuy tournaments. But continue to play. Probably wisest for me to play SNGs, I don't know why I don't. I think that both Poker and sports betting are profitable. The main advantage of Poker is that everything in your hands. You decide how to play but there is a big percent of luck in this game. Sport or esport betting is based on analyzing such information as a result of previous matches, teams' achievements, predictions and so on. I play poker sometimes. I like 888. But I often take place in free tournaments with an ability to win some money and spend this money on paid small tournaments in case if I won them. I do not use my own money to play poker. Speaking about betting, I like to make some bets for Dota 2 championships here and it is like a hobby. I watch games, I have my favorite teams and I like statistics and I earn more money with betting. Maybe, if Í would be a professional poker player so probably I'll tell you that poker is better.
