one without the other is not good. You have to have both to be successful!

I agree

Overall I think knowledge is more important, but quite possibly patience is more important for those that are totally new to the game.
The more knowledge you have the better. When when I think of a player having patience I think of a pure NIT.
Knowledge of the game allows you to pick certain spots and play your opponent's weaknesses.

Knowledge. If you know when to bet, how much and against who, you don't need that much patience.

Both

Which is more important in poker: patience or knowledge?
What I mean by patience is waiting for good hands or good situations for bluff.
What I mean by knowledge is stuff you have learned about poker like what experts and experience have taught you.
Patience or knowledge?
Both are good qualities for the successful poker player.

They go hand in hand, I agree that knowledge is more important but patience if essential, it would add control and with these three things good results are obtained:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

There is a very important factor in little-mentioned poker, the luck factor, there are players who have the ability to play with a wide range of hands, at times they hit the board characterizing luck, at other times they know the perfect time to try a bluff and pull a good pot. So everything depends on who you are facing at any given moment, there is no point in waiting for a pair of A and the board does not help you at that moment giving the luck factor to your opponent who decided to call your allin with TJs.

Knowledge

The patient is waiting for the opportunity. Knowledge goes looking for it.
Therefore, much more than patience, for me it is knowledge that makes us wiser and not in a bad way, it makes us stronger mentally. It helps us to endure adversity, it forces us to really know ourselves, because no one can know what they are capable of until they try.

For me, I have ALWAYS busted out when I lose my patience. I SOMETIMES bust out because I dont't always know the correct play to make. So all things being equal, I think patience should be the first priority. Wait for the good cards so they're more likely to work in your favor. It's like the old saying about letting the tool do the work. You can win with 2 7 off but it's a heck of a lot easier to win with A K suited. know what I mean?

Here I will not choose which is better. Because in certain situations, the first and second are important. So it’s better to have both options. I do not know why many choose knowledge. Yes, I understand knowledge is very important but patience is also important. :) :)

For me, knowledge comes first. For example, if you are in a tournament and patience means catching good cards, maybe the chips run out until they come.

You need to use these two options, it makes no sense to highlight one thing if you want to beat successful in poker.

Believe in work

Hi Berandir,
As a beginner, I watch many videos of big names in Brazilian and world poker. They say that with a lot of study and a lot of practice it is sure that success will surely come.

There is one trait that all successful poker players have. This trait is patience. Even if a poker player was not born with patience, successful players must learn to have it in order to consistently defeat their opponents.

Patience comes in several forms at the poker table. This is especially important when playing live poker. Poker requires discipline and patience. There are many pitfalls along the way that can pose a problem for players, especially those who are new to poker. Learn to be patient, play at first only premium hands, make the right stakes and refrain from gambling and you will get on the path of victory and money.

hi.in poker, you can't choose between patience or knowledge, they go side by side, they need to be balanced correctly because poker is not chess,a significant share of randomness is present, you do not see all your opportunities at once.

I think they are both equally important. You need both to win.

Yeah, I agree with that. You need to equal both, and then associate with the factor of luck and the range of cards, you can take a better shot.

I believe that a mixture of the two is fundamental. But knowledge is certainly the main thing.

Patience or knowledge?
First off you will need absolutely both in the chance of being successful at poker...most of time the knowledge will come first as you learn to play and have ups and downs...but patience is often learned through time and frustration after frustration..but when you learn to properly combine the two it should lead you to a better well rounded hopefully profitable game
