Just all that "I ran bad today, so..." should be displaced from your minds. Results don't matter in the short run. And we live in the short run.

You guys need to stop looking at EV graphs after each session. They never help and make you think more about how bad you ran that day rather than the mistakes you might have made and spots you could have missed...

what about looking at it during the session as you play? thats allowed right?!!? lol

I know i shouldnt really but dmn man..... its so temping, I cant resist.

1st, +1 to what vanq said, he knows what he's talking about.

Chuck how bout them 6max vids so i can get away from full ring?

From my blog:

"Unfortunately I scrapped those. I may do them for fun (and a pinch of educational value) in the future, but I didn't like the way I went about them last time and just dumped them."

It sounds like you guys really want these little videos so I'll probably redo the series soon.

Yes. And you might be fooled into thinking your were "unlucky" on a day where the case may very well be that you were extremely lucky, just not in a once-you're-all-in-what's-the-EV kind of way.

Like being dealt aces when someone else has kings. That won't show up.

Or missing your flushdraw when the other guy flopped a boat. That won't show up.

Or hitting your flush with the same card that gives the other guy a straight.

Or flopping a bigger set than some poor sap.

The all-in-EV graph is such a tiny part of luck in this game that I really do wish that graph wasn't included at all.

Is this the 10nl to 200nl series ? or actually a 6max 200nl series ?
If you're still doing it, I'm looking forward to the 10nl to 200nl series :p.
I read in your blog a while ago that you had already bagged a couple of the limits ?

Will break the 100k hands for the month today. Would have had a lot more than this if it wasn't for me slacking big time this last 4-5 days...... Too much chilling out watching the World Series :)

Well tbh I only get to watch the playoffs and the WS. Bit of an armchair supporter, but I just love watching the post season and stuff. Can't wait to get over there and watch a live game.

And you think you run bad?

From his blog

Wow, that is some rant. Very understandable of course, but it just goes to show, variance has respect for no one, no matter how good you are. Sick run for him, but it's only a matter of time before it turns for him I'm sure.

I know, it's terrifying knowing like the world's biggest and most successful grinder can go on such a crazy long run.

It's unfortunate too - what happens with his videos? He's publicly stated that he basically hates poker right now, and is obviously in a mind state that isn't keeping him on his A-game, so his video content will no doubt suffer.

I think there might be more to Leatherass's horrible run than bad luck, and it was somewhat surprising to read all this ranting posts but it shows you that nobody is above tilt - even the best who could be subjected to (possibly) the worst luck-run ever, will still tilt because we all have our breaking point.

Last night was not too pleasant for myself, I ran into a guy I want to buy a lottery ticket for me, he was a 56/0/1 and kept showing the nuts to me. Made me think about superuser status, it got weird. But its okay, this month has been fun and I've gained invaluable perspective and had a modest winrate. Complaints? NONE.

Well he had one out, but I could have almost folded to his river check-raise.
The first one stung the most. Two outs, one card to come, almost 300bb deep. But I'm kinda stupid anyway, playing that deep when I'm not properly rolled.

That's my biggest fault, I really need to work on it. I've been to $15,000+ three times since I started playing last year, and every time I went on a swing and didn't move down quickly enough which could have saved a large percentage of my roll every single time. But even the stupidest of players doesn't make the same mistake 4 times. Or does he? :D:eek::joyman:

Actually I've met quite a few who do. Generally I just add them to the buddy list. :)

With as much and as well as you play, I'm sure you'll have your shot to correct your BRM mistakes really soon.

If I don't, I'll post a graph of my last 20k hands.
