Yes, me too, in 2001, joined royal vegas Poker on the Prima Network and they gave a No Strings, $10 Free Money, No Deposit. And thru some miracle I built that little $10 up into gigantic returns

I started my online poker bankroll with depositing onto bovada. Once I started playing, I found that other websites offered freeroll opportunities in which I joined a few because of that reason. So basically, it depends on which site you refer to as how I got my bankroll.

I Deposited on Bovada for my first time 40 bucks...worked it up to 60 then joined a MTT tournament and ran deep but not deep enough and didn't come in the money then lost the rest at cash games. `Sigh!! I Then decided to take on there daily $20 freeroll tourneys, Where it took a few days due to Donkfest players and i came in 1st ($5.40). I then started playing Sit And Go's at micro stakes 1.10 buy in's. I slowly ran my $5.40 up to 25 bucks! So I thought maybe Sit And go's have the best potential to build my bankroll. I Continues playing the $1.10 sit and go's and sometimes switching it up to $4.40 Sit and go's and continued to play the daily $20 freerolls has well....because well....its free...came in the money more than a few times and before I knew it i had my First Deposit back which was $40 bucks and i was up 18 bucks...my total being 58.00... i was super content with my strategy and began a bankroll management grind....i now have 213.66 after 4 weeks of grinding it out plus my 100% bonus match. So it is possible to build up for free....but its a grind...takes alot of discipline... once i reach 300 i will switch to higher buy in's and see how it goes!! GOOD LUCK ALL!!!!

I started by playing freerolls on Full Tilt, whenever I had enough to play a reg $1 STT I would and went from there. pokerstars did the same, except after withdrawing some from Full Tilt I min deposited $10 for some bonus or freerolls, etc. But of course since black friday can no longer play at PS.
My current BR on a merge site is from freerolls also. But they were preBF and I believe PLO. Saw a post here or on another forum about being able to sit out into the money, and tried it out.
I have never understood why people would insist on playing freerolls only until a certain amount of money. Once you have a buyin for a game play it, no point waiting.
