People are so clueless when it comes to marijuana.
You all have become to believe, through news and government that marijuana is bad.
Caffeine is considered a drug, but its found in everything from pop to coffee to chocolate and is acceptable.
Alcohol is a drug that is sold in most convenient stores if not all in america and it kills, you find me a story about how UNTAINTED marijuana killed someone, you won't find a story.
There are stories out there which tell how marijuana killed someone, but that's because it was tainted by other, more powerful drugs.

I could list a whole bunch of positives about marijuana but I think you need to do the research yourself.

You hear it all the time, someone goes on a drunken rampage and kills family, maybe friends or just some randoms who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, and yet alcohol is still legal.

As for marijuana, the biggest headline in relation to marijuana and violence would probably read something like this:....................................................................

TBH, you won't find anything on marijuana related with violence, just not possible.

If you had 2 separate rooms and in both rooms you had 10 men in each who have to spend 12 hours in their respective rooms.
In one room(A) you give them all the alcohol they can drink.
In the other(B), you give those men all the marijuana they can smoke.

I can guarantee you by the end of the 12 hours, some if not most men in room A will be sick, beatup and or dead(through beatings or alcohol poisoning).

The men in room B will be either sleeping of have an extreme case of the munchies with no casualties.

If you don't smoke or ingest marijuana, then without you doing proper research, my words have fallen on deaf ears.
I have given up drinking because it did nothing but cause problems and now smoke weed regularly, probably about as much as a man/woman has a daily beer.
Another thing, I have been with the same woman for almost 20 yrs now and can tell you if I hadn't quit drinking, I would have lost her long ago.

I wonder if it changes the way they play. Maybe while high you play more in tune with the villains raises and on coke you might be more aggresive. IDK. what do you guys think?

According to me drugs are very dangerous for health....so now how can you concentrate yourself on play think! before starting !!!

Drugs and poker

Thought of an interesting question, how do you guys feel about the use of drugs in poker? Has this ever been an issue? Some tweaker amped out of his mind getting kicked out of a wsop tournament or something?

I smoke weed when I play, I'm not sure if I would consider it a performance boosting drug or if I'm just such a pot head that playing sober has become more of a detrement, but I definitely play a bit better high.

If you do it offline at home, nobody cares except your bankroll.

If you do it live where its illegal, you may risk getting caught and banned from casino. Also, may have to forfeit tournament if you are playing in one.

I have seen lots of potheads in live poker but I am not aware whether they take a break and smoke outside the casino and come back. Usually they just don't seem to have too much patience.

I too, know a lot of "potheads" who play, but, I also live in Oregon where it's legal.

I think, if we're talking white-drugs/uppers. In big events, it should be treated just like any other sport, should be DQed at the very least if you're caught.

Any drug is bad for the nervous system and is highly addictive. After a while, without the drug will be not interesting to live, not work normally play poker. In this poker and drugs are not compatible !!!!

But then go ask people from his stable how he unravelled and became a nutcase.

I have found live that the pot users tend to lose focus on key elements. But its not my business if people enjoy smoking pot or not.

I was a pothead for ten years, have been sober for almost one year now. The affects that pot seemed to have on my poker game were that I would trust my gut more when it came to bluffing and being bluffed. It gave my attention span quite a boost, which is weird because one would assume that weed smoking would impair one's ability to pay close attention. I would say since I quit I am a stronger player, but I win less. haha. seems like such a contradictory statement. One negative affect that I remember the most was that I made a lot of blow up plays.

I was at a local casino playing a 1-2 cash game yesterday, then a guy who was completely "crazy" came in because of the drugs and sat down to my right, he just opened his hand in the pre flop and shovava 50BBs ... I did not even believe it , I think I made about 400 dollars ... very crazy !! Just report ^^ ... so do not use drugs, will know the effect of these things hahaha
