Poker is a great hobby and one of the worst jobs.
So a hobby and maybe a side gig for me, definitely not a job!

Now it is still a hobby for me. Since I'm still learning to play like a normal person. But then I want to make my work poker.

Poker is purely a hobby for me. For poker to be a job, you have to play all the time, but that can't be called a job either.

Playing poker is for me a hobby after work or in the weekend! Chilling, drinking and playing some games.

I definitely see it as a hobby. I use to see it more as a job & treated it as one being hyper-focused on reading books/ online articles, reviewing hands, profits, spending endless hours at bars/home games, casino’s, comparing stats etc... It was very time consuming and I probably spent more time playing poker than I did at my actual job, lol. I have now returned, after taking a 6 year break from poker. The break was much needed and I am now finding playing poker enjoyable once again.

I would like to have poker as my profession but I still don't have the structure to reach that point I see poker as a hobby but with the hope of one day being able to support my family with him I hope for that in the near future

it's just a hobby though. I deny the extra income comes in handy, but I don't think I could make a living from it if I didn't have a job.

It was my main income about 2 years ago. Then stopped playing for a while. Now I'm trying to start playing again, but it's more like a hobby now.

For me, poker is a hobby that I do for a rest. I do not have a goal in poker to win large sums, I enjoy fighting with other opponents in miscalculations of different betting options and moves. I can not call it work.

It's just a hobby, unlike other hobbies it totally effects my mood for days afterwards. But a job is something you do for a living and I could never make a living playing poker.

For me poker is a hobby, but I think playing for a job/career would be fun. Always liked the idea of being a stock market day trader so playing poker for a job would be similar in ways. Bought the book playing poker for a living but it's on the shelf collecting dust. Good luck to those who go for it full time!!

Hey guys id like to know your opinions on this. Do you guys see poker as a hobby or a job and why?
I see poker as a small income. I guess I don't have enough skill to make poker for a living. Although poker is like a roller coaster. Not everyone is given this, it takes a lot of desire, time and effort.

Even if playing poker brought me a steady income, it would still not be my main activity. My position is that the income from poker is not so permanent that you cannot rely on it completely. Therefore, this is only entertainment.

Certainly a hobby, I don't see myself as a professional poker player, I don't study for that and I don't get paid for that too, I like to play as a hobby, and whenever possible, I earn extra money
