Online poker is much, much harder then live. There is a lot of things that makes it harder:
1. You must decide fast.
2. There can be a lot of idiots playing all in for fun.
3. Online poker its out of your control. (System, bots, disconections)
4. You learn about strategy of your opponents and suddently... BAM! You are on another table...
And a lot more...
I'm ok with both. Personally I feel I'm a better Live player. Have the time to really think out my line. Online you really need to put the valume in to be successful. That means you need to be playing 6-10 tables. You are almost on auto pilot when you do that, and you read my cant make reads.
If I want achive the best result I play online, because local tournaments of poker are too fast, blind 15/20min is not enough to play like I can the best, but 15/20min online is a slow tourney and that's why I choose this kind of games. Live local tournaments are good sometimes for entartainment. I doesn't take them seriosuly.
Online is harder than live because there is time limit to take decision and you could missclick and there is feeling that someone's see your cards all the time
I am a pretty decent player live, win in the money, most tourneys I have ever played, however online, mediocre at best, rarely in the money. I play pretty much the same way. I find it way easier to win live. Anyone else? What is your experience.
Hey.
I do not have much experience playing live. Friendly games for small amounts, for 8-10 people. And poker games at the casino against the dealer, but that was a long time ago when I was a student.
Thanks to onlain, I had the opportunity to play poker at any time and under any conditions.
And yet for less, I think it's better to play poker live and preferably in tournaments.
In terms of convenience and comfort online is better for me. I don't have to travel to a casino to play and I can play a lot more hands online and play whenever I feel like it.
For me it's much more easier to play live. You can see your opponents and in most cases it's not too hard to understand if they bluff or just have a bad hand.
im of the opinion it isnt harder its just different... you cannot be a live player and expect to play exactly the same way online because in no way are the 2 the same thing... for a start your playing a hell of alot more hands online and you switch tables alot more ... cant see the players so cant read in that way... and so on... so although they both have thier vices i believe personally it all depends ehat you like but i dont think online is harder if anything it can sometimes be easyer online for people who have 0 skill set after all if you play terrible you shut your laptop lid and no words are spoken but if you play like an idiot live chances are youll end up on youtube and people will make you feel silly
Playing live for me is a bit stressful being an online player. Dealing with rude players as the cash game at the casino is like a public toilet anyone can enter.
Most of the time I play live, it’s at a buddies home or workplace. It’s a friendly game with some bite. There’s beer, someone has some green, music, it’s a good time with friends.
Win sixty bucks, lose a hundred, it’s a fun night out.
Some friends of mine had a Stars home game set up. We had a spreadsheet laid out so we could play real cash and just square up next time we all met up. Worked for months before that kind of ran its course
