These days it's mostly a hobby that I'm passionate about. If the opportunity ever presents itself for me to make a career out of it that would be awesome. Until then I'll just keep on keeping on.
job is where you go to make money, poker is where you go to have fun and if doing it right well 70% chance of making money in general is what you can achieve most in my opinion.
Definitely a hobby. Though I have excellent reading abilities on the table and estimating the odds involved, I was often inpatient and my bankroll management left much to be desired.
For me it's a little bit of everything, I just miss organizing myself to study more and more focused so I can increase my thoughts from a work point of view.
Hmmmm its got to be an Obsession, Passion and Pleasure....
until.......
I'm staring in to the mouth of a megalodon on epinephrine with a mega stack that's "all in" on every hand... you win some and then you're faced with the "you were placed ****" notification.
For me this is not a job, I can play some poker in my free time.
I also like to play free tournaments without any risk, so you can play patient, enjoy the game and if you,ll get some luck you can also win some money. So, this is a great opportunity.
A hobby that i love playing and if poker pays for a holiday, night out or even a new bit of fishing gear i have been eyeing every so often then it's happy days.
It has been my job before to earn enough money to play cards tomake some real money. Work 3hrs. Go play a ND win 600+. Yeah it's a full time job to be good at what your passionate about
At this point poker is more of hobby than a passion for me, but I certainly do not consider it a job. I love playing and I don't earn enough to live from it
