Cash or Tourney?

In cash games you need less luck to play profitably than in tournaments. I am not a fan of tournament poker. Television has made tournament poker look glamorous and like a competition where skill prevails. However, the truth of the matter is that luck plays much larger factor in tournament than in ring games. Think about it this way: at a regular no-limit game, if you started with $ 2,000 what is the chance that you would end up with $ 2 million before the night was over? Zero. However, to win a tournament where each player has 2k starting chips and 1,000 people enter, you would need to win two million in chips to win the tournament. Not an easy feat to do unless lady luck truly smiled upon you that day!

If we talk about micro-stakes, then cash nl2 is the best for me personally, there are most of the fish.

To play cash tables you need to have control of your BR.
After all, you can lose everything in minutes.

I prefer to play MTTs.
Today as my BR is zeroed, I will play freerolls until I can raise a balance that allows me to play sit and go or micro MTTs to try to form a BR.

Big tournaments can give you prizes that you wouldn’t get in a good single hand for money.
And money on low bets is very risky, as most players play with any cards, and may even find a bad beat for a 7 and 2 on the way.

Tournaments have the thrill, I think it's cooler.
Not to mention how rewarding it is to be able to stay ITM in the tournament.

Wordless. MTTs are better for me.

It's very rare for me to play for cash. I don't charge money once a month at the most. I usually play in freerolls and tournaments. I know someone who invests a lot of money in it and
I'm not going to fall for that mistake, sometimes it's a cash game, but if I don't have to,

I used to only play cash games, but now I am pretty much strictly tournaments.

There is just more bang for the buck in a tournament for me.

I love tourneys cuz I do well, but games can take soooo long.
Then I go to cash tables and lose my winnings:(
Cash is great for convenience, you can get up and leave at any moment,
But my vote is mtts, (also for the huge final table payouts;)

I prefer mtts, but the thing i like about cash games is you can come and go as you please because there are no time restrictions....

Tournaments are better, even with variances we can recover lost chips, the problem is that it takes a long time at the tables, aside from the fact that we are reaching the bubble and we fall with big pair

I prefer a tournament because it has a minimum entry and a fairly large prize!

Tourney because it is more exciting. According to my experiences to mix the cash and tourney tables in a session is not so lucky...

Not very happy with cash because to many are not worried about cash because they have a lot of money and bluff all the time and when they win they run away to another table and do it all over again.
