He left the forum a couple of days ago. IIRC Keith_mm posted a graph of his 150$ cash game losses in the "im the best tourney player on earth. Oh wait im not" thread.

Nooooooo [emoji52][emoji52][emoji52] this is a great disappointment

It is difficult to say that if it is not it. But of something if I am sure and is that in each type of juice the players need common skills and abilities oriented to each modality.

He hasn't left. He was here yesterday afternoon (evening his time). He just hasn't been posting. He's around and reading. I wonder why he won't post. Maybe it's because he's afraid to show us all up with his awesome cash game results, now that he's got a tracker running.

From a tournament player, I will admit that cash is definitely a more complex game. But to imply that cash game players are more intelligent is the same as saying "I play chess and you play battleship, therefore I'm smarter."

In cash games, due to deeper stack sizes relative to the blinds, you often have four streets of betting. This means that hands you can't play routinely in tournaments become very playable in cash games. In tournament play as the blinds creep up, often the only decision you will end up with is shove or fold, or raise pre-flop and get it in on the flop.

In comparison, within cash games you might have betting decisions all the way to the river making hand analysis much more complex.

Either way, OP is either trolling, tilting, drunk and probably deep down needs a good cuddle.

I dont think that cash game player are better than a tournament player. A tournament player might not do well in 5 tournaments, but he might take 1st in a 25k guaranteed tourney and get a nice cashout. Cash game players rely more on consistency in my honest opinion i dont think that makes a cash player better than a tournament player. I also dont think cash game players get more rewards or $ compared to a tourament player. just me 2 cents.

Cash game player until I die.

I am sorry to say that this may come sooner than some tournament players end their careers. Its not necessarily that they are smarter, its just that they might make more money. And if thats not the main point for playing poker, then what is?

I have spent a lot of time playing cash games, I know well the dynamics, I can compare vs tournaments.

It is not right to judge intellectual abilities in this way. I think that the author of this thread just never won in any tournament. If you are a good player, then you are good at both tournament and cash games.

The reason for it to me is because cash players are much more used to playing deep. In tourneys is just to easy to make decisions with a short stack, you just got to get it in. Unless of course there's ICM involved.
