sets, fd, 2pr, Kxxx - but we should be in fantastic shape w the nuts plus straight and flush redraws, our equity is excellent against any hand except one that looks like ours w the nut flush redraw. nh!

Call a moderator and see if you can make it 02NLO for the rest of the hand.

Next card: 5
diamond.gif
(or 7 or 9)

I am just gonna go out on a limb here and assume we are getting the worlds slowest bad beat story. ;)

Just because some villain shows up with 9d7d doesn't mean we shouldn't shove every cent in we can in this situation.

Tell me I am wrong. :)

Man... I can't believe how long I idiotically stuck with pokerstars

FTP + rakeback is so much better it's not even funny (rake generation in plo is crazy).

And a free deucescracked membership to boot is nice icing on the cake.

that plus I think the games are softer at FTP

I actually disagree with this with this hand and position. It's a good drawing hand. I want a pot with some substance in it for the flop. But I don't want to chase my money ponies away. Also, if the flop misses I want to be able to get away from it with minimum damage.

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9
club.gif
, J
club.gif
, Q
diamond.gif
, 10
diamond.gif

Hero bets $0.04, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.04, 1 fold, CO calls $0.04, Button calls $0.04, SB calls $0.03, BB calls $0.02

SB checks, BB checks, Hero ?

Now what?

I'd bet half the pot. Have nothing yet -- but a ton of outs to a str8, plus a lot of chances at a non-nut flush. I'd be wary of a flush card, though, and always wary of a paired board. So the choice is to bet hard hoping to discourage other chasers (ha!) or bet light hoping to catch the str8 without a scare card coming (good luck with that -- there always seems to be a scare card). Half the pot will discourage most of the others, except the player with a set (or an openend str8 draw or a nut flush draw.) Note: I would bet a half pot with whatever made hand I had also. Set, 2 pair, whatever. If someone raises, then it's time to reconsider, depending on bet size.

No. I have found that when you raise pot pf a lot of times you wind up with just the blinds. I like to raise enough to get a nice pot on the flop then pot it from then on. If it gets folded to me I have a nice bit of change. If it doesn't then we play for stacks, (if I have the hand or major redraws).

I gets to brag about this one...

it's one thing to get a royal, it's a total other thing to actual get paid off with it

rush PLO is fun!

(oh...most of the money went in AFTER the turn, and he paid off on the river with AA high btw)

Can you fold and show? If you can I think thats very +EV longterm.

If you can't show then i'd just go ahead and call. :)

Sometimes you have to wonder about these players.

You wonder what they think about. But I hope they don't think too hard. :) The only problem I might have had was repopping all in.

Loose table? not sure how you can fold that....

AA might be good for the high by itself... A6 has a shot at the low on that board... get the right heart and you scoop... (you have two aces... odds aren't super great he has an ace and a four or five).

but then plo8 drives me batty so yeah....

I am not sure your equity is all that good here. You are drawing to a terrible low and your high is just top pair with a flush draw.

You've built a big pot with nowhere to go really.

Bet smaller preflop or even just call.
Check call flop.
Check call turn.

As played fold I think.

When building a pot in PLO8 I like to think that my $$$ momentum needs to match my hand strength opportunities. No need to go too fast.

On this one I totally lucked out. Even with having a loose table you can get burned bad. I shouldn't have called. And with naked As like that I have pulled back playing them that hard. The flush draw was the temptress.
