I wouldn't know, I really don't pay any attention to anything that guy says. My impression is that he's just an attention seeking wannabe.

Nailed it.

I am sensitive WV you should know this, you are the reason there's no 'hey i'm 9k #4'

because Ducky's a whale and I am a whale hunter

seriously though 25nl £ tables are the softest on stars, its a joke: http://imgur.com/ESd6AMp

I'm the reason? Lol. Not sure I get the logic here?

Also I understand that the 25nl tables are good but surely the ones where you're not playing against each other are better than the ones where you are. I mean if there aren't enough tables I get it but if there are others available and you two are just sitting each other to **** around you're costing yourselves $$s.

Didn't realize there were so few tables running on Stars these days.

I guess, as long as they're soft enough to make them more profitable even after calling off a stack with 4th pair. ;)

First hand I've posted here for analysis...
Is there anything I could have improved on in this hand to protect myself from this or was I just fished out?

Brag: laid the foundation for pick up. At the very least I've found myself a sweet running partner. I'll make my move when I run into her again

I have been playing for 7+ years so it's far from a search for sympathy. I don't give any nor expect it in return, it's poker, I'm not crying over it.

I always played tournaments in the past and am new to the cash game formats so it's a genuine question; I was simply wondering if there was anything I could have improved on this hand within these 10NL stakes to avoid this. Or if there may have been some signs I might have missed (i.e 'you should have been out when the second jack hit the turn', etc.).

if you've been playing for 7+ years then spots like this shouldn't really confuse you

if he 3bet calls 4bets IP w/ K3s and calls off with a FD then you clearly played it fine

Honestly I almost deleted the post when I 1st saw it because I thought it was just an obvious bb post which we try to keep out of the thread (unless Ducky is the villain of course).

I have been playing 7+ years and I should know but those 7 years were spent playing the same way each time with the same losing results. I joined a few months ago to start to improve my game, I never stepped back, realized what I was doing wasn't working and tried to improve on it. I am even now just starting to use a HUD as of yesterday and learning how to interpret the data.

I really didn't mean to post something stupid in this thread as I don't want to lose respect and be known as an idiot. It was a sincere question as I thought there could be a chance I could have laid the hand down earlier, etc. Believe me, I'm not looking for sympathy/crying over this, check my sharkscope, there's plenty I could post to cry over if that was the case but I'm working to improve my game.

Maybe a better way to present my original question would have been "should I have laid this down earlier?"? That was my main concern with that hand, without knowing what he had, there was plenty that could have beat me on the turn, coupled with the way he was betting.

I'll leave it at that, I apologize for derailing this thread.
