can you go over the floor ruling?
i would make a huge scene
sure..
Dealer called floor. Floor came over, dealer explained what happened. Reg said he didn't have the chips "on the felt", but on the black railing, so it wasn't "in play". Argued the counter that he was still in system, being dealt for BBJ, typical arguments. Floor thought for a moment, then decided to rule in favor of reg. One guy at table was going off about how ridic it was lol. I argued as much as possible, but once the ruling came down, I think my chances became slim to none so I told him I respectfully disagreed and racked up to leave.
hmm from the sounds of his reactions at least you weren't getting angled so wouldn't be quite as pissed. Still the incorrect ruling.
Yeah, I think he's just completely clueless and had no idea what he was doing. He's a "reg", but literally zero online experience and he's an older guy, probably in his late 60's, early 70's so it kind of adds up. I tend to always see the good in people, so I'd like to think it was an elaborate ploy to save 900$, but hell after the Shiloh experience, I have to constantly remember that people will scam for any amount of money sometimes.
slightly off topic, can someone explain to me why opens are so big live?
is it to tighten random fishes ranges so you don't end up going 6way to every flop? and if so should we be sitting deeper to compensate? and if we follow that ruling then do we end up counting say for example.. 200bbs as a buyin now?
was on the waiting list for a game last night where everyone was deep and 5/6x was standard open so just trying to understand, thanks
gotta raise to protect the hand! You don't want those bad players coming in with any two!!!!
But for real, think about it. If you can raise 10x and still get calls pre, your going to gain so much more when they c/f flops like most live fish will do. Also, making SPR smaller works when we have made
hands so if you 10x pre, pot flop, pot turn is almost a shove and if not, river's loleasy assuming 100bbs.
