Guess my evil plan worked. What's the World cup?

It will look something like this:

Mine is to get my bankroll to ~$300 so I can start playing 0.05/0.10 6-max tables.

Gonna pull up short on hands, almost definitely. I did finally manage to pull back in the black though. Might make it to 15k hands, but definitely not getting to 20k. Now that it's going up, still on pace to get up to the 6.5bbs per 100, minimum. How's it going?

Because of awesome hands like this:

SB: 141.25 BB (VPIP: 39.55, PFR: 17.61, 3Bet Preflop: 3.51, Hands: 184)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J:heart: 9:heart:

fold, fold, CO raises to 2 BB, fold, SB calls 1.5 BB, Hero calls 1 BB

Flop: (6 BB, 3 players) 6:heart: 2:heart: 7:spade:
SB checks, Hero bets 3.5 BB, fold, SB calls 3.5 BB

Turn: (13 BB, 2 players) Q:club:
SB checks, Hero bets 5 BB, SB calls 5 BB

River: (23 BB, 2 players) 5:heart:

where the fook have you been? How's the new house?

That's where I've been, lol. Been there two years this month. Had a kid 4 months ago. Haven't played an online cash game for more than about 15 minutes in probably a year =/.

lol, that would maybe make life easier, just not as rewarding /cheesiness

Also, another big thing, and the main reason why any cash game I have played has only been 15 minutes or so is the table selection. It's just getting worse and worse, didn't even seem worth it to play for more than 15 minutes.

I'm almost contemplating putting some money on Bovada to play there because I see that at least their anonymous tables are actually seeming to get some action..

Bovada makes table selection impossible; you just take what you're given with the other numbers at the table. If your concern is simply that there's no action to be had, Carbon keeps me 4-tabled relatively easily outside of 2-6am. Bovada's soft enough to make it the better choice, as I understand it. I made a bunch of money there and got to 1kNL from a 25 dollar bankroll (toot horn) without ever multi-tabling or, honestly, knowing what I'm doing at all (hindsight's 20-20; I thought I was an effin' guru at the time). If you really want to be able to work on your overall game, I suggest Merge. Bovada seems to have traffic, but they pull the full tables off of the list so they can get more new tables started and they don't have a waiting list. Meanwhile, with Merge, you can see the number of tables and the opponents, and you can make informed decisions when it comes to seat selection, which is plenty important.

Yea, I honestly haven't really played Merge since BCP moved to ACR. I have like $10 on Carbon still after the last withdrawal I made a couple years ago. I felt like right after the switch, both BCP and Carbon went down significantly personally. I guess for the most part, I miss being able to have great table selection and always keep referring back to FTP and PS in the back of my head. I know it's never going to be like the good old days, but that reminiscence drives me down, lol.

Took my roll away from pokerstars and decided to just play live from now on. Live players are so lolbad it's ridiculous. The regs at my local casino are worse than the 5NL grinders :)

Besides no-lifing at a computer screen is so tilting. One question for you guys though: there were a lot of hands I played tonight where it got to showdown and the other guy blatantly didn't have it, but wanted me to show (thus giving away free info). I ended up showing my hand in order to take it down - mostly cause I'm new there and don't want to start off by making enemies - but would it make me a dickhead if the river goes check check and I tell the other regs that we can both show our hands or he can muck?

Well the rule is worst position shows first if it goes check-check to showdown. Just wait until he either shows or mucks.

Depends on the preceding action as to who HAS to show by rule. In general though if I think my hand's good I'll just turn it over. The information gained/lostis really negligible and it speeds the game up.

This is not the rule. The person to make the last aggressive action (bet or raise) on any postflop street is required to show 1st.

I don't think so. If there is a bet and call on the turn but nobody is all in and both players check river, I'm pretty sure showdown occurs in order of position.

I think last aggressive action is only when there is no more possible action afterwards, like at showdown or if somebody is all in in a heads up pot before the river.
