I would say it's easier because there aren't as many people going all in at the start.

Cash Games

Like most things...If you are not comfortable in the environment, then you're not as likely to play as well....thus less profit.

Cash game is more dynamic than tournaments because it depends on your desk needs to change the strategies it requires more reading than tournaments but the hand ranges are very modified

so it is not necessarily more difficult but the strategies to be taken are due much of their gaming table tournaments have always playing with the obvious table but in order to survive until the itm.

I think it is easier to get a constant profit in the cash game than in the tournament

My opinion

Cash games are nice because you can get to know the players and how they play. In a tournament you just get to know them and the all in happens you don't have much in site to bet or not.

Cash and Tourneys

For me, cash games are more difficult because it can be easy to go on tilt. Maybe this is just me. But, it's hard losing to a suckout in cash games and not trying to win the money back. For some reason with tournaments I think the added element of trying to survive allows me to focus more on that than on getting chips back.

You’re exactly right! Tournaments are more about patience and cash games are more about discipline. I say this all the time. Glad you agree.

if you find cash games too much more difficult, you may be playing with scared money

Variance, variance, variance.

If you win one big MTT you can go years without a cash and have a positive win rate. Having a really good cash game session does not do the same thing for you.

On the other hand, you can be a great player and never win a big one. Where in cash games, if you lose a bunch of sessions you can drop down a level you know you’re a winner at and rebuild.

It all depends on the type of your game, if you like to play carefully, then you should play in the cash game, if you play aggressively, choose tournaments.

The cash game is still the fastest way to get your banckroll up, but it takes a lot of technique and patience to not lose money. With tournaments it takes a lot more time to generate profits.

Tournaments are a safer form of accumulated winnings, cash game is proportional, you win a lot but you risk zeroing your bank.

I believe cash games are harder due to the fact that when you are playing a cash game you are playing with a bankroll. When playing tournaments you deal with the buy in at the beginning and the physiological aspect of losing more of your bankroll throughout the game is minimized.

I assume you are talking about cash tournaments as well? I have found I do better in a much shorter amount of time playing on cash tables with 6 to 9 players. I have found the tournament buy it costs is a factor in winning or even getting ITM. Seems to me the more the cost to enter tourney the less "bingo"

in my opinion when you are a beginner in poker it is much more prudent to play other tournaments than the cash game, because I found that the professionel of the game plays more gash game, so if you consider that you are good player so the gash game will be better but if it is not the case avoid playing them

Recently, I think in the last month I started playing cash games as well. From experience I noticed it's very easy to make money and it's just as easy to lose it.

Depends on temperament and mood. If I'm in a really disciplined mood I'll usually do better in a tournament. The 6 - 9 hours or more is a big time investment for me. If I only want a quick fix, I do better at 6-max cash tables. I NEVER play full-ring cash games - way too many nits are attracted to these.

Overall I do best at 6-max single table sit and go's. These seem to be the best compromise for me. They last an hour +/- so they don't require a lot of discipline, the variance is low, and there is a 2 in 6 chance of winning.

Depends a lot on how lucky you are too. Tournaments require a fair bit of luck over an extended timeframe. In cash games, skill more often than not makes the bigger difference. And you can leave a cash table once the other players have had time to get a good read on you. In some tourneys you may be stuck at the same bad table for hours. Some weeks I'll play a lot of tournaments because I'm having a lucky week. Others are a complete loss and waste of time playing tourneys.

Personally I find tournaments harder. They require a lot of time to get a decent result. Whereas in cash games you can leave at any time and try later if your hands aren't hitting. Once in a tournament you often have to eventually play hands you don't like.

Cash games are where you want to build your bankroll. You have much more control over the game, no blinds. Your not forced to play less than premium hands, and others are having to bet real money unlike freeroll events.

It's a game where your money swing up and down. And people can't take it. So they Play scared money or too agresstive. Don't think of it as money but tools to play the game to best of ability

I always found the cash games more difficult, the more that the bigger the bet, the bigger the withdrawal of the site.

Yes for shure

Cash games is what the game was developed so you have to invest money to do that... If you build a bankroll with only freerolls freeroll, giving the dificult in that tha, you must consider every hand and every fold. So hope my post help you.

freerolls are easier

For profit, cash game is easier but there is more risk involved. MTTs are harder to profit from.
I deposit at acr and lose faster at cash games than I ever do at freerolls.
