Definately AA... how could it not be AA?

outside of big pockets, I always liked to play with T9 or J9 and ultimately cost me fold 96 suited.

I like AA, KK, AKs and 77...77 is lucky cards :D 99 or 22 too...
I dont like AQ, its good cards, but if dont hit the board, they are mean nothing...I loose many times on AQ, because I trust him too much :D and I dont play 105, 93, 72 etc, this cards are low and dont do straight...i play this only if on boards going low cards often...anyway, win on this cards is big lucky :D

I'm with you on AQ. Personally, I hate it. I'd rather have 89s.

Word up! AQ are inconsistent cards...too good to fold, too bad to trust them...it's always hard deciding...

Yup. I will raise with AQ, but more often than not, I won't call a raise when I'm holding AQ.

My favourite starting hand is 9 10 suited... ;)

Beat me to it. Doesn't need to be suited for me. 910 is the most profitable hand in wsop history.

I feel like I may have broken the 15 year run since I just lost 6k after hitting flopping the nuts with it.

Other than AA and KK? Probably J10 suited or another relatively high suited hand like 89 suited.

I always like suited connectors or gap.Like 9 J,10 Q.It feels easier to trap the opponent and win big pots

:5d4: :5c4: is my favorite hand. I got this hand playing live at the CNE (A Toronto Fair) and it was very good to me. The flop was :2c4: :5h4: :Jc: the game was limit holdem and the betting maxed out with 4 players in. The turn was a :2d4: so I'm now sitting with a full house and the betting is maxed out again with all 4 still in. The River is :10c4: and everyone maxes out the betting again. One person has QQ, and 2 others hit their club flush draws, my full house was good and I took down a huge pot. I like small pocket pairs because they're usually good for taking down huge pots if you hit your set.

well, in my case, best is pocket pair of fives, 5 9 or 10 J. Few weeks ago I scored 4 times poker with five in one tournament :)

My favorite starting hand is KK (Any position). But depending on the position, I really do love to play QJ (suited) and 68 (suited).

Either big pocket pairs or suited connectors like 67 89 or J10

Annie Duke states it clearly - there are no good starting hands - position, chips, players all have to be taken into account.

I have folded AA before the flop - why? Well with 3 all ins my odds are low on winning and in a tournament survival can be a factor to be in the money.

If playing for low stakes then you look at it differently.

I will say this most of all, I hate the beginning of any tournament, any pair and ACE with small kicker offsuit. And like all other cards but the flop and not in the dark, the game is such a mystery don't know who's getting lucky.
Obviously it's great when you look down and see pocket Aces or Kings. But my favorite starting hand is suited. That one specifically, but I like all suited connectors, low or high. And suited gappers, too. I will almost always try to see a flop with those hands, as long as it's reasonable to do so.

What about you guys?

I I like middle pairs. With them I do not raise, but made the call small raises. If there is a set on the flop then I expect to raise from the enemy, and raise. In short everything on the situation.
