Daniel Negreanu was a bit on edge during a Friday WSOP live-stream when a commenter insulted his wife, Amanda. The GGPoker ambassador made physical threats against the chatter, which led to criticism from many on poker Twitter.
Negreanu, who streams daily from 6-7 pm PT on YouTube, was competing in the $400 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max event in the WSOP Online Bracelet Series. He picked up his 12th cash of the series — 193rd place for $866. But his evening will be better remembered because of some vulgar comments he made during his live-stream.
In the middle of his stream, the former PokerStars ambassador who recently spoke with CardsChat News, caught notice of a supposed insulting comment directed at his wife. Negreanu responded to the deleted comment by making physical threats toward the individual on YouTube.
“Hey, Tom Estrada, go f**k yourself, you piece of s**t,” he yelled. “Block that c**k motherf*****g piece of s**t. F**k you, f**k you, f**k you in your ass. How about that? Okay, Tom Estrada, f**k you in your ass. Eat some of that, you piece of s**t. Come f******g step to me and say that and I will knock you the f**k out. How about that?”
Negreanu then continued his tirade with another threat: “I will break your f*****g teeth if you come step to me.” He then suggested he would feed Tom’s teeth to him “anally.”
“That will teach you for a stupid f*****g comment like that,” he concluded.
This isn’t Negreanu’s only outburst during the WSOP Online Series. Earlier this month, he lashed out at the WSOP.com poker site when he got disconnected multiple times during play.
If you thought poker Twitter would let Negreanu’s harsh comments slide, you’d be dead wrong. Many of the usual Negreanu haters were quick to bash the GGPoker ambassador. They include Shaun Deeb, who has long made it clear he hates the six-time bracelet winner. Last summer, Deeb attempted to wager on Negreanu’s marriage being short-lived.
I mean as much as I hate the guy in this clip that’s just not the way to represent yourself Or our industry hope @Twitch looks into this and bans his ass since @wsoponline won’t do anything https://t.co/E0ZsDDnG1L

No surprise, Doug Polk was quick to pile on with a sarcastic jab.

Mike Matusow, who also went on a tirade during a live-stream during the WSOP Online Bracelet Series, physically threatening another play for supposedly slowrolling him, was silent on the Negreanu clip. But he did snicker briefly during his own YouTube stream when he was informed about the comments.
Jamie Kerstetter, a poker pro and commentator, made a sarcastic comment about the Negreanu incident.
Enjoying @berkey11’s stream, especially the lack of violent threats and homophobia

David Lappin, host of the popular Chip Race poker podcast, has long been critical of Negreanu, and explained why.
I would prefer if he hadn’t made disgusting comments about my girlfriend. He revealed his true colours yet again last night and I really think it’s a shame that GG took him on after Pokerstars shit-canned him. It sends the wrong message. Poker deserves better ambassadors.

I used to like Daniel until he was getting ribbed by Mike the mouth, his friend and his only comeback was a nasty remark about mike borrowing money from him. I’m old generation there are something’s that are left behind at the poker table especially if it’s a broadcasted game

This his point. You want to watch a bunch of people sit around the table and not say squat? This is fucking entertainment and the point of watching. Poker is a dick swinging game. Why do you think the woman who play are usually Dom’s and not subs? There’s a reason for that! And these snaps are what I want to see and how I’m entertained. If you enjoy watching poker players play nice and quietly, you’re watching and playing the wrong game!
