For me the hardest part by far is staying focused the entire tournament right till the death. So often i'm running well, have a small lapse in judgement and bam! tourney over three hours wasted and sad panda!
It definitely sucks playing for hours and losing focus for two hands and then you are out

The first phase of the tournament, you have to be most careful and patiently wait for the cards. Then it is a little easier when there are fewer players left, everyone plays more prudently, less risk-takers, less bigo players.

the hardest part of any tournament is after a big loss due to the "variance" or luck (bad beat), if you are left with less than 10 BB, is just as hard as it gets. :banghead:

Hardest part of the tournament is when you go all in with doubled stack and lose it with 10bb or less, then get a good hand and win yourself back to 20bb and try to stick together to keep yourself in the tournament.

The beginning of the tournament should not be difficult. (if your strength isn't the post-flop game, your style of play should be tight-aggressive) The difficulty starts where you don't have 100 blinds by far. :) Let’s say you’re between 15 and 30 blinds and the price are near and high. :)
Well, here you can bring poker to some very difficult situations.

I read a lot of nonsense about how hard it is to play with 10 blinds or less. there are no uncomfortable post-flop situations in a huge pot. etc ... etc ... The situation is simple and you know exactly what is a good solution all in or fold in a given situation !! And of course you can easily get out, but the bigger mistake is usually that you fall below 10 blinds, and not your all in from the button with the relatively weak hand.

I think the hardest part of a tournament is when u drop to about 30bb because u can't really play push or fold strategies but you have to play tight and wait for the correct position and hand to double up

Getting close to the bubble and being short stacked plus not getting good cards to play.

That may be the bubble time. Hard to reach there and hardest to go further with it.

the hardest thing in tournament is surviving and building a good stake
Once you have enough chips it's easier to relax and play your game.

When you have a 3 bb stack but you are on the bb, and a super nit with a huge stack goes all in pre and you have to call but you know you will be beaten.

Starting the tournament because if it goes wrong at the beginning then it’s hard to get out of this situation.

For me is the hardest part of a tournament if you come in the money and then you have got your Buy In of this tournament to begin to show your ambitions and determination that you really worthy to struggle for best prizes

The most difficult thing is patience and discipline to play correctly, especially if the tournament lasts a very long time, and you are already tired and want to sleep, your eyes close, and play for a long time, and the thought of going online becomes more and more obsessive. And you go with garbage and win, but you have to sleep and play, it’s hard to maintain discipline and play correctly, but you have to fight with the players, and you want to sleep so as not to pass out at the computer

Maintaining your edge and making good decisions through to the end. I guess the word is "stamina".
