If you play tournaments on sites like ACR expect to see silly hands like AA v your KK around 40 minutes past the hour.
I suggest play the freerolls on here and the League and enjoy the game for what it is.
You can improve but the Casino site manipulations will ruin your progress and disappoint you.

I think sometimes you just gotta get out of your normal routine. Like if your a passive player change it up and try being aggressive on the tables or maybe. Maybe try to pick 1 or 2 players out to always try and pick on to grind chips out of by raising and being a pain in the a$$. I usually find a chip stack with half or less of my stack so if they all in I can call and not sweat a loss because I'm pushing them too. Good luck.

Hopefully at this stage of the tournament you have some chips to play with (maybe at least 15-20bb) and are not one of the ones who let himself be blinded out to 4bb. You need to always stay ahead of the blinds and be wary of stack sizes. Stay away from the larger stacks unless you have a real hand. Keep taking jabs at the smaller stacks and picking up small pots. You will find opportunities to double up.

Before you enter a hand you need to think of a solid reason to do so. If you cannot then fold.

I think you need to constantly improve your skills in the game. It's like a professional sport. To improve the level, I saw various books from famous poker players. You can also watch poker videos. To scoop up information on forums. And constant practice.

Na hora da bolha, é muita paciência, tranquilidade e persistência.
And focus on studying what is your fault and practice a lot.

Hi guys,

I feel like I have hit a wall and can't seem to get by the bubble anymore in online tournaments?

Can anyone suggest ways to improve my online game or better ways to 'read' online players?

Is this possible?

Cheers.

I could suggest you to watch youtube videos that I could find but specifically on these topics:

a) Reading ranges.

b) Probability.

c) bakroll management.

I hear ya & can relate. I haven't been playing much for the past few months (picked up a new puppy.... a very rambunctious & very LARGE puppy) on account of said puppy not giving me the opportunity to play any MTT's but just recently I've been able to put in a few hands on cash tables (to refresh the 'thinking'). My first session after weeks of no play... less than 5mins. in and I lost 5 buyins. I even took SCREENSHOTS (< a huge telltale sign of tilting for me). The first one... AK < AK ... villain flatted my 4-Bet preflop... then he donked into me on a A64rb flop... I rrai.. he calls. Turn & river goes 'club' 'club' and villain takes it down, lol. (I had the pokerstars option turned on to 'Cash' out in the hand.... but didn't even consider it of course (yah... I use that Cash out feature occasionally lol.. sigh). The others were just as bad if not worse. It was great to see many bad players though.

I enjoy the podcast that Cards Chat offers. It is extremely helpful and has taught me things I would not have used earlier. Glad I found it. Enjoy it if you want to learn better.

Take a break for awhile and recoup. online poker is about patience and determination. You have to keep playing and trying to remember your opponents or take notes is another idea.

chatting on the cardchat forum, chatting with poker players, watching streams, reading poker literature and living poker are the most important things in my opinion, and you also need to love your mother

So hand selection is absolutely vital to your success, and some players are considerably looser than others. You should be choosy about what hands you are going to enter a hand with. However, something that really improved my game is playing 6 max sit n go's. You are forced to play with weaker cards because the blinds are coming around more often. You are also playing more hands per hour on a smaller table. Playing at a 9 man table you will do a lot of folding, watching, and waiting. Obviously you will have to adjust your strategy when going back to a 9 person table, but this will make you a better player.

The best way to get past the bubble is to play a lot. Instead of try to read players, look at your chances and risks on the bubble.

Norocul are rolul în joc.
Mulțumiri!
Noroc.

Start playing at low limits Even for a person who is used to playing cash games at high limits, it is recommended to start with lower limits. The purpose of these first sessions, in addition to playing "solid" poker , is to get acquainted with the nuances of the online game. Low-limit games offer a better chance of winning in the long run.

Starting the game at lower limits also allows beginners to play online with a smaller bankroll. This can reduce the additional stress of losing sessions and allow the player to focus on the long-term goal of becoming a successful online player.

In general, when comparing the same limits in a live game and online, as a rule, there will be tougher opponents in an online game. A player who enters an online game with the same limits as in a live game may be shocked by the competition. Therefore, a gradual progression through the limits should help beginners become familiar with and ultimately fully understand these differences, thereby learning how to win online poker.

Hi MasterFlame. For me, being patient has helped me more than I can say. I can't make the good cards come to me, so my other thing is to fold, fold, and fold some more. Also I do a lot of positive self talk. I don't play trash very much. One thing for example, is the fact that if you play something like J5, then the flop gives you a pair of 5s, which makes you want to stay in the hand. Then on the other hand, the flop gives you a pair of Js, but you have no kicker. The other player's kicker will beat you almost of the time. Stay out of trouble. That's my two cents. GL today

I noticed most sites have abandoned double up sit'n'go tournaments. I really enjoy those... :)

Hi

Don't worry much.
Keep studying the online theory by the books and articles (from the winners);
Watch pro's videos;
Play a lot, but don't put your life duties and family aside. Poker is very good, even the best game on earth, but is not all;
There's no hurry for the learning poker is a very long term path, like Mike Sexton used to say: “Texas Hold’em, the game that takes a minute to learn but a lifetime to master.”

Best of luck
