From the beginning is the best, to get enough stack.

That's a nice question...
I'm thinking about it so offten.
Mostly I start from the beginning.
Next time I try too start later but then the blinds are higher
So you can't play not favorit hands like 7/2...

If you join from the beggining you can get to know all your opponents really well, but if youy get unlucky, you will be out fast and on late reg you can sometimes hunt for a situation that half of the players in the tourney get payed, so 1 won all in and you have an avarage stack with a big chance to come thru the bubble and maybe even more. Depends what you like in poker the most

Resgister early and play safe before the end of late registration is my advice.

entering at the end of the late registration I will be in a smaller stack than other players and players with big stacks will press me.

If i'd be in same situation then i'd be the one dictating hehe (probably by slowing the game down) ;)

Personally, I think it’s -EV to leave info on the table (pun intended) by registering late. On the other hand, i suppose it could increase your BB/hr as Jeff Bosky says. I think the latter view is uninformed.

I believe it is better than the beginning because you have more chances of finishing with more chips, register slowly you have to deal with more chips and blinds equal to your chips

Sometimes you register at the start and fire 4 or 5 bullets and get nowhere. Sometimes one bullet is enough. Sometimes you register late and double or triple up right away and you're right in the game. Sometimes you bust right away. The later you register, the higher variance will be since you're more likely to bust with a short stack. Most of the time its probably best to register early and take advantage of weaker players and try to build up a stack. Still I don't blame people for registering late since late reg on some sites goes on forever.

I don't like doing that. Playing more time at the tournament gives you more hands and more time. By the time other players register you might have 200 bb's😅 Imagine registering at the MMT right before the registration ends, you get 1500 and the bb is 1500, and you gotta shove, I wouldn't prefer that🤔

I think the łatę registration is better cause if u have a join later u have higher stakes and bigger amounts to win but otherwise in a bad streak u can lost faster than at early game... But definitly i prefer to Play on late game;):fight:

late

I agree late registration, especially in re-buys and add-ons helps you avoid a bad beat early.

There are many players who feel much more comfortable with a 20 bb stack. than 200+, in most cases and thus compensate for the skill.

Hi Hi

I read today a player suggesting that it is best to register for a MTT late - right before late registration ends

I am puzzled and hope some experienced players can give the pros and cons of this strategy?

thanks

You enter the macro game, avoid losing blinds.
The downside is that you miss the opportunity to get good hands early in the tournament.

Lots of factors like starting stack if you are deep a later reg isn't so important.

But my general rule is Turbo - Early, slower the blinds the later you can join.

I like play the tournaments at the beginning, but some tournaments are so good to register late, you start with 20/ 25 bbs, and have more chances to double your stack faster

I late registering, (but not super-late) all the time, especially for the lowest buyins. Not applicable for turbos.

For bigger money, I show up at the start! For low stakes, it can go either way! For freerolls other than CC I show up late so many people signed up and don't show up and it drives me crazy watching the 90-second clock run for like 3 or 4 people at one table!
