In my case I prefer fast tournaments, if you are lucky enough to start well, you can get good results, although I do not dislike slow tournaments either.
If I have enough time, I play normal tournaments. Turbo and hipper turbo tournaments has different configuration and need fast reactions, which often has as a result wrong bets.
I don't have preference only a preference with the oponits.
I hate the ones that just constantly go all in and just want to try and get lucky from the start.....(ya don't usually learn playing that way).
Hard to believe anyone would prefer Hyper-Turbo---just seems like a revenue generator for the sites---but I guess if you are really strapped for time or just like the fold-shove game there's that!
Hyper's get into push/fold so quickly that I don't enjoy them. You often have to win a lot more flips since it is 95% preflop and you have to play far more marginal hands as if they were the nuts.
Turbo's are perfect for me - they end in a reasonable amount of time and you can 'play poker' for most of the tournament.
Normal tournaments - are extremely time consuming - also I'm probably not as good at deep stacks > 100BB, my skill is mostly in the 30-70BB stacks.
