I said 1 in 700 with 1.000 players not 700 players. So this would already be a solid winning player. Maybe not the upper limit of, what can be achieved, but my point was just to set some realistic expectations. Because apparently OP (and many other) have a misconception, that if they enter an MTT and play well, they are supposed to win it. And thats just not, how this game work. Its poker, its not chess.

How to win a freeroll where there are a lot of people and they are not predictable? There are people who go all in with cards 2 7, 5 3 in the hope of catching at least one pair)), when you play in micro stakes, it's even easier there)
Use a hud it will help you figure out peoples tendencies.

Playing freerolls - It's like learning to play poker in a mental hospital or a zoo, and you can forget the starting hands chart - only AA or KK at an early stage (and that's not a fact, there will definitely be 4 limpers). Freeroll is needed when you have a good time with the company, you want to play poker, but you don’t want to pay for your fortune.

read the players , mark them. play tight , good cards . play smart . It takes time to get good at it. There are a lot of odds to consider that become second nature over time. It gets easy to consistently get in the money... if you want to.
Being a freeroll , it's ok to once in a while tilt out, especially if you have other more important things you should be doing with your life. Cheers !

winning a freeroll is mostly a matter of luck. just try to play a solid game (whether it is tight aggressive or loose aggressive) and try to make the best decisions on whether to fold, call raise or fold. in order to do that you have to analize your opponents strategy and adjust your poker range. also play tighter when you are short stacked and more loose if you manage to have a big stack. to conclude if you want to win things like icm and finishing in the bubble should not matter to you because if you want to win a tournament you will have to take risks otherwise you odds of winning a tournament will highly decrease.

Very interesting question, especially considering the fact that, every time you enter a freeroll it is already a win in terms of EV. Because in freerolls you cannot lose anything (except time spent), while you have always a chance to win something.
But if the question is, how to win freerolls consistently, then there are a lot of different factors to consider, as freerolls can be different from one another. For example, in some freerolls the best strategy is to play as tight as possible and wait till other players give you all the chips.
However, in some freeroll (usually with higher prizes) the players are playing more seriously, meaning that they won't give up the chips that easily, or even worse - there can be a lot of tough players in the field, that play solid poker. But even then, you still have a decent chance to succeed if you play a solid strategy.
Overall, since any freeroll is a tournament, there is a high variance. So you actually can't win all of them, no matter how bad or good your opponents are. That is why I usually play tight, and hope to get lucky more often then my opponents do))) so far this worked for me

consistently playing plus on micro-limits is not an easy task. You will have to deal with a lot of "wild" guys living on these limits, and the bad bits that they will shower you with in abundance. Learn regardless of your mood or recent results.

A freeroll with 10 minute blinds, that's nice.
I play on 888 and their freerolls are crazy 1 or 3 minute blinds. Those definitely feel more luck based since even winning a 3 way all-in you can still be short stacked after a round of blinds!
